As the sun rays lightened up my room, I stretched on my bed taking it all in. Today is the day I get to learn how to drive. I'm pretty much nervous and excited at the same time. The day won't start itself if I'm still in bed. I removed the duvet covering my body off of me and tossed it somewhere. I headed to the bathroom to freshen up. I came out minutes later and went to my closet. I took out some clothes and put them on. I combed my hair and tied it into a messy bun. As I closed my door behind me, the smell of waffles and pancakes hit my nostrils. "Hm yum..."
I made my way to the kitchen and there was my big brother by the stove cooking us breakfast. He is the only one I've got. Our parents died when we were little and he has been taking care of us since then. "Good morning Jake, what's cooking?" I asked him taking a seat at the counter.
"Good morning to you too Scarlett. I'm making waffles and pancakes". He said putting the last of the pancake on a plate. " I thought so as I smelt it before coming here". I said with a chuckle.
Jake served me and I hungrily ate.
"So tell me, are you ready to be the best driver I know?"
" I guess so but I'm a little nervous Jake."
"Relax, you've got this. Just have fun ok". He said smiling up at me.
"You always know what to say don't you?"
"I try." He said taking a sip of his coffee.
I finished up my breakfast and put the plates in the dish washer..
"I'll get going now. See you soon." I gave Jake a kiss on his cheeks and left the house. "Drive safe". He shouted and I chuckled to myself. I decided to walk to the driving school. No big deal, I love to walk. Soon, I got there and I was amazed by the cars parked there. The building was very huge. "Well, here goes nothing." I muttered.
