"Whoa," said Luca in amazement as he observed the interior of Freddie's home.
"Dreaddie didn't know that they loaded you," he started, taking his eyes off the walls for a moment to observe, Freddie's outfit. "You looked so…" he continued as he trailed off, ignoring the look both adults gave him.
"Is he always like this?" whispered Freddie as he leaned closer towards his friend as he watched her slightly pursed her lips while shrugging.
"Yup, in his good days," answered his mother before turning to look him in the eyes.
"Thank you," she whispered as she brought her eyes down to the cake she had in her hands.
"No-"
Shoving the cake to his chest catching him off guard, she leaned close to him while tipping as she gave him a soft kiss on his cheek. It was the day almost everyone has been preparing for, Christmas.
She had made about a dozen fruit cake last night into this morning. And boy, was she tired.
