If Elliot didn't have a poor impression of Axel, then he would surely have one now. He couldn't do one little thing! All Elliot had asked of Axel was to check and see if the little girl knew what was happening up at the stand.
"I won't even bother asking," he muttered as he knelt to take the girl into his arm.
He stilled as she squirmed a bit before resuming his action, ignoring Victoria's ex as he did.
"You're very good with kids," observed Axel as if it was the most unusual thing he's seen since the beginning of time.
"Yeah, right? Tell me something I don't already know," he stated, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he did.
Axel tilted his head thoughtfully before opening his mouth, "Well, Victoria is standing right behind you."
