They stared at each other, Elliot with a proud smirk and the old hag-sorry, I mean-Mrs. Briggs with a somewhat defiant look on her face. 

Somewhere far to the side was a shivering snake man as he watched the two. His interest revolved greatly around the tension between the two. 

There had to be something he could make his third story on the Biedermanns on. He wrapped terror around his neck, giving him some warmth from the ocean's chilly breeze.

Currently, no one has attempted to drive the boat. And it made him worried. What if those guys decided they want out of the negotiation? What would they do then?

It wasn't like they had the perfect signal in the middle of the ocean to contact anyone. It was more like a do-or-die situation. 

His eyes watched as the waves move up and down, steering the boat eastwards. The waves got stronger with each passing second.
