As if on instinct Victoria hugged the baby to her chest as she frowned at the voice's direction.
"No! This is my baby, who are you to order me like that?!"
"I think you're forgetting who has the authority here, Ms. Jamespell."
Her brows furrowed.
"Authority? I don't know, surely not you."
The air then became restricted in the room, causing everyone in the room to look around. The water had risen to their thighs.
Panicked breathing resonated in the room. It belonged to no other than Victoria.
Seeing the water at such proximity that too high, it reopened a memory vault of hers that she preferred to be closed.
"Ah… I see that you've developed a trauma from the incident. Tsk, I thought you were a true woman, but I guess I was wrong about you in every aspect."
