The jet shook at that moment, interrupting her self-pity. The baby in her arms whimpered in annoyance while his sisters slept soundly like the sleeping beauty they are. Just then a shuffling sound echoed over her head. Before the pilot gave his dreaded announcement.
"Emergency announcement to all passengers! A storm is headed our way, I need you to stay calm!"
Amid his announcement, she panicked. Making eye contact with Elliot, and for the first time, it seemed as if they'd both expressed the same emotion. Fear.
"-In the chair in front of you, there should be a compartment. I want you to open it. Inside there should be an oxygen mask."
Doing as he instructed, her breathing got heavy at what she saw. He was right, there was only one oxygen mask. What about the kids? If they direly needed it, she felt that there should be enough to get her kids to safety.
She opened her mouth to protest.
