The sheer volume of notifications forced the System to summarize, delaying the notification until he had finished cleaning up his kill and weapon, another few dings going off to symbolize his level rising. "[Rare] Tier? So that thing was probably pretty dangerous... Stealth attacks are stupid overpowered. Maybe I should work on using some magic next, in case I'm caught in the open?" He mused to himself as he got down to what's been called mankinds best invention ever. Toilet Paper- Oh wait. Cooking! Toilet paper... does it even exist in this world? He shuddered at the idea of no toilet paper, and decided to go back to setting up a campfire. Using his flame control ablitiy, he made a small spark and set the small pile of sticks and leaves ablaze in a smoky pile, spearing a thin slab of the Ceryntian meat on a stick with no small amount of effort. It seemed quite tough, much like Venison. The serpent meat he skewered on both sides, deciding to make a small meat kebob from the different chunks. It was significantly easier, almost like chicken indeed.
The scent from the flame roasted meat was intoxicating, a party of wandering traders with their guards noticing smoke coming from the small grove. One such merchant chose to go over, seeing the young man, a campfire, and no small amount of blood staining the ground. "Oh! Noble Adventurer! Might I inquire what you're cooking so finely there??" He swiftly strode over, questioning the young man with a clear bit of flattery in his tone, wondering if he had found a skillful hunter. Kael turned with a small mouthful of the combined meats in his mouth, swallowing after a moment to answer the fancily clad, somewhat overweight blonde man who has approached him. "Ah, It's just something I hunted a few moments ago. I believe it was called a Ceryntian, but it was only a young one. The meat is quite good, though I'm sorry to appear greedy... I can't share. Eating is how I get stronger, see?" The food had made him quite content, though moments after he said it, he regretted it. The merchants eyes were ablaze with what could only be called passion, as he sat down and began his crusade of haggling.
"Horns, Scales, Pelt! I'll buy all of it, or even have our smith back at the caravan make you a bit of gear from it if I can have the leftover material! Those parts are high quality ingredients for mages creating Chimera, you know! Ceryntian have been hunted so much in the past that they became monstrously strong once they reach adulthood." He spoke with a fire, dragging Kael over to the edge of the woods with a strength unlike his stature. "ORBIN, COME LISTEN TO THIS!" He yelled out at a short, stocky man that could only be a Dwarf, who then grumpily trudged over. After he had been told why though, he had a fire in his eyes well... dwarfing that of the merchants, more than eager to make equipment out of a monster he never even dreamt he'd work with. "AYE!" Is all he said, before dragging Kael even further... What's with everyone pulling me around!!! He thought with a considerable amount of annoyance, still munching passive aggressively on his meal.
A blur of chatter and material oggleing later, he was wearing a thick, flexible hooded leather overcoat made from the pelt, had a small, bone and scale buckler made from the other bits and pieces, and a whopping 30 gold from the leftover materials. "It may not be as valuable as dragon parts but, you're hopefully going to be a good customer of mine so we waived the cost to half of the production value of that gear. It normally would be 40 gold for custom work using high quality material and a dwarven smith... but we dropped it to 20 for you, permanently! The shield is a gift from me, by the way." The merchant gushed, chattering on as he pressed a magic stone that he soon learned was the same as a cellphone on earth into his hand. "We must be heading on, but young man, Kael, rather! I am Narci, and you know he is Orbin. We're headed to Netherni, the Capital. If you find yourself there, look us up!" And like the flash that they appeared in, they departed, leaving a very confused, and tired looking Kael to continue onwards towards his goal.

Now that he could get a good look, he went back to roasting meat. No effects triggered from the first helping, which sucked. If he could get that regeneration ability, he'd be pretty safe from all but status effects, he thought. Taking a bit of the serpents meat, he roasted it all the way through before eating it whole, a familiar ding sounding in his head. [Passive Menu unlocked. Passive skill gained, [Poison Resist Lv1]. Upgrade passives through continued triggering of the effect.] Well, there goes the worry about being poisoned a lot. His cloak had a light poison resist effect, so hopefully it stacked. Finishing off the last of the snake meat, he chose to roast some more of the cuts from the main body, hoping to RNGsus the mighty that he may get his sweet, sweet HP recovery.
After the sweet, savory scent of venison cooked to perfection filled the air, he took a bite and savored the juicy cut he picked from the decent bit of leftover meat he had in his inventory. As if sent from the heavens... a ding! [Player has.... Leveled up [Cooking] to level 2.] Trying to resist releasing his frustration with a reference to a show, he sighed and continued to munch on the delicious venison kebab. As he got ready to leave, a ding sounded in his head. [Digested Ceryntian meat. Skills and Stats will now be given fully. [Weak Life Regen], [Weak Nature Control Magic], +3 CON, +1 WIS] Added to player for consuming and digesting [Rare] Monster Ceryntian]
In his head, all that he could think was YES. YES, YES!
