I turned around slowly to find Chloe fiddling with her sleeves looking nervous. All eyes were on us. I knew she wanted to talk so I got up, before I followed her out of the cafeteria. My shoulder sagged in relief. It felt good to know 300 people were not watching me. 'hey what's up' I said leaning against the wall. She took a deep breath 'i just wanted to apologize for my behaviour these last few years, sorry for that' she blurted out 'its fine, we all make mistakes ' I asked smiling at her. 'can I ask what brought about the change' i asked genuinely curious. A smile Enlighted her whole face 'Tyler, I realized I had a lot of toxic friends and he helped me get rid of all the toxic stuff and he said apologizing to you might be a good start' she rambled. I had to say I didn't think anyone could shake her from her world Tyler somehow succeeded. We walked back to the cafeteria 'why exactly did you hate me, because I don't remember doing anything to you ' I said being blunt. 'Jealousy, you have amazing friends, your life looks perfect' she admitted a blush taking over her cheeks. I could tell she was embarrassed about her actions and that was enough to tell me that was sincere. I couldn't help but scoff 'my life is far from perfect but having amazing friends makes it close,you just have to find some really good friends. Tyler's a keeper doesn't let him go' I said before going back to my table 'okay did I just see you smile at her or are my eyes playing tricks ' Justin said overreacting. I explained everything to them and everyone except Scarlett looked sold. She was a hard person to please ' I don't know she was very rude' she mumbled 'okay let's get out of here ' Gray said as the bell rang. My life was far from perfect, but its not like i was crying all the time. I could hear a lot of noises 'yeah we don't have the last period lets go ' he said. I made out what he said with great difficulty before Gray and I met the rest in the parking lot. We were going to dinner. We did this about once in two weeks. Our parents use to take all of us here and we continued the tradition after they stopped . I was wearing a maroon crop top and a black skirt with heels because Keira forced us. 'I cannot walk in these' Scarlett grumbled. We looked like we were going to a formal event. I mean it was a very expensive and formal restaurant so maybe we won't look overdressed. Blake rolled up his sleeves looking like an adult. I got in with Gray and Blake while the girls went with Justin. 'it's been a while since we went their' Blake said. I nodded in agreement 'hey you'll look good' I said staring at Gray. We arrived at Carlos and the second I got out Justin yelled 'can we have steak'. I let out a laugh before moving closer towards Blake. 'he already knows about his gift' I told him signalling towards Gray who was with Justin who looked like a kid high on sugar. 'It's fine, we have a surprise party right' he asked taking my hand. 'yeah but we should do it somewhere except our houses, we always do it there' I said whining even though it was his party. Blake raised his eyebrow before we went upstairs. I let go of his hand and went to Justin whose energy seemed to have vanished ' what's wrong' I asked sitting down ,he sighed 'I'm just really tired' he said giving me a weary smile. 'I just want to eat steak and see the moon' he said. I looked at him weirdly before getting an idea. I sat next to Gray before whispering in his ear. He nodded we started eating. I got steak and pasta with a salad. And for dessert I got key lime pie. 'you look gorgeous' Gray whispered making me blush. And he ruined the moment by smirking. What is up with boys and smirking. Justin had cheered up the second he ate his steak and Keira and Blake were just bonding while Scarlett was talking to her parents. That reminds me I haven't called mine yet I ate up half my pie before giving the rest to Justin who gladly accepted it. I excused myself before going out of the restaurant. I called my mom and she picked up after the first ring ' hey how is Spain' I asked. I could hear the happiness in her voice, they needed a break 'it's amazing, I feel bad you're not here' she said. 'it's fine, I'm having a blast with the squad ,we came to Carlos' I said. I could see Grayson in my view. I spoke to her for a few minutes before hanging up.
