I removed my heels as I got in the car. I knew the others will take some time, might as well get comfortable. 'you might have to ask the girls for a ride I have soccer practice tomorrow' he said staring at the sky. 'yeah okay ' I said as I waited for the rest of them to come. The wind blew making me shiver. out of the corner of my eye, I saw Gray remove his jacket and I turned my head to protest but he silenced me with a glare. I took on the jacket because he was way more stubborn than me. 'do you miss him' he asked. My heart stopped when I looked into his eyes. He had grey eyes and they were gorgeous with little specks of gold. 'all the time' I admitted as I played with my fingers. I could feel his stare on the side of my face. I let out a small laugh 'I remember the first day I met you, I knew that I would call you Gray no matter what your name was because of your eyes' I said switching the topic. He let out a smile standing in front of me 'luckily had the same name' he replied. 'I remember the first day I met you, you had whipped cream all over your face ' he said laughing at the memory that was so embarrassing 'okay in my defense Justin was the one who pushed me' I said making him laugh harder 'I'm sorry about your shirt though' I said. I had wiped all the whipped cream on his shirt that night. He shrugged. 'we had some good memories' he said 'and it's time to make some more' Scarlett said doing a back flip and surprising all of us. Blake's jaw hung open as he took it in 'what Justin passed over some of his energy' she said getting in his car. Everyone except Blake went into the car 'yo Daniels you can drool over her later' Grayson yelled making me laugh. Blake got in the car giving us both a glare. Daniel was his middle name. He grumbled something under his breath. We reached our spot,it was a cliff with a clearing . We had actually gotten lost here and found this place . Since then we always came here . Justin let out a whoop 'moon' he said pointing to the sky like a child. Keira dove right in the water with her dress on 'that had to be uncomfortable' Blake said cringing. We changed really quick before diving in. I knew the second I come out of the water I'm going to freeze to death. It was really cold. I could already hear Keira chattering her teeth. We swam for a while,my hair sticking to my neck did nothing but increase the cold. 'you think Scarlett would say yes if Blake asks her out' Grayson asked running his hand through his hair. I scoffed 'nope you know her history with boys ' I said as I put my shirt back on stepping out of the water. Grayson stepped out too and We went for a walk in the woods. I interlocked my fingers with him as he led me somewhere his warm hands a contrast to my cold lifeless one 'geez why are your hands so cold' he said rubbing my hands with his I shrugged as we reached a clearing. There was a huge rock and we ended up sitting on it. Awkwardness was not an emotion that traveled with us. I took my phone and gave it to him since he had a pocket, though instead of putting it in his pocket he started going through my phone. I had nothing to lose so I didn't bother trying to get it back. I stared at the moon. I remember those days Caleb and I used to go camping. We would always watch the moon and fall asleep. Gray's voice woke me up from the flashback. I looked at him to see him reading my last text message with Blake. He grabbed my hand to prevent me from walking 'what happened' he asked his eyes narrowed. I looked around hoping one of them would come and save me from this conversation.' nothing just got a panic attack 2 days ago' I blurted out. Yeah, I need to get my control back. I could almost feel the anger he felt 'and instead of calling the guy in the next room, you called the guy in another country' he said before walking ahead of me 'oh come on Grayson, I didn't want to disturb you' I said that pathetic excuse. He stopped for a moment before coming close 'the last thing you would be doing is disturbing me and you know it Madeline' he yelled before going towards the rest. They all paused laughing the second they heard him yell. 'did you'll fight' 'did he just call you Madeline' Scarlett and Keira asked. 'yes' I answered for both questions. It's been a while since he called Madeline. They resumed their water fight after staring at me for 2 minutes. I leaned against the hood of the car and Blake accompanied me 'do you want me to ask' he said. ' he read your text about us getting back together' I said 'okay I know that would have made him weary since no one tells that anymore but ' he paused waiting for me finish 'I told him I had a panic attack and he's mad because I told you not him' I said as I drank water. Blake didn't speak because he knew I wasn't done.' I would have told him, but his mom the second I came to their house told me to let go of him because she didn't want us to get back together' I confessed. 'what' Blake yelled. This was supposed to be a happy day. ' what does his mom know' he said kicking a stone ' Blake, the last time we dated we destroyed each other, she's right if we get back I don't know what would happen' I said a storming Gray came back and got in his car 'I'll talk to him' Justin said looking mature for a split second. 'I don't want to lose him again' I whispered and he gave me a hug kissing my forehead
