It's been a week since first day happened which is to say that so many things happened. It's literally everyday that Hunter and Ranier are bickering with each other. They are cabin mates but it seems to me that they don't get along with each other at all! Hunter literally only goes to his cabin to sleep or rest. The rest of his days, he spends it at our cabin or in the classrooms or in the cafeteria or in cafes here in the Academy. Anywhere but his cabin.
School on the other hand, has been very kind to us. Note the sarcasm. It's only been a week yet we are so packed with things to do. This is definitely distracting for me. But it also makes me restless. Literal restless. I haven't been getting enough sleep because so many things needs to be done. Well, it's just me. The others seem chill but I'm not. Unlike the others, I am a very grade conscious freak. I grew up an achiever. It's not like I had a choice. I had to be an achiever or else, well my parents get mad at me if I don't excel. They want me to be the best. I understand their concern but it's also very suffocating on my part. Growing up, the pressure just keeps adding up. Not to mention that my friends are also excellent. I'm always being compared. In the end, I started to get used to it. It always made my parents happy. I only wanted them to be happy. Even if it meant losing my own.
My family did seem really proud of me with all the achievements I've been getting. Not until I graduated high school. I didn't graduate as the valedictorian. My mom was very disappointed. I heaved a sigh. Well, it's done. I intend on making my family proud again. I'm just sorry I didn't really handle things well that it affected my grades.
I had to start editing my business plan. It's a good thing to have successful parents in the business industry. It gives students like me the privilege to experience business trainings first hand. I'm not really worried.
I checked the time on my wristwatch. It's past 12 noon. We have a free cut from 10 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon. I've been working on my project for 2 hours already. I should be getting lunch by now. I closed my macbook and fixed my things. I'm currently in the library. I'm alone. I prefer to work alone and in silence. It gives me peace. I messaged Lory and asked her where she is.
I stood up from my seat and got my things. I checked out some books from the librarian. I still need these to study in advance. My phone beeped and I received a message from Lory saying that they're in the cafeteria. I just replied with an "ok", smiled at the librarian and left for the cafeteria.
I entered the cafeteria and as expected, it's so loud here. I scanned the place to check where's Lory and Hunter at. I found them seated at the far corner of the cafeteria. I smiled and walked towards them. As I am nearing, my brows furrowed.
"Sure, we could be getting a lot of costumers in this strategy but we are nearing the end of it's season! We should prepare something that's trendy!" Hunter exclaimed.
"I know that! But are you even considering the risks of your proposal? It's good to be in the trend, but you are too early for this kind of trend!" Lory countered.
"What are you two arguing about?" I asked as I sat beside Hunter. Lory's side is full of books.
"We're thinking of a better strategy for Entrep." Lory answered my question. My mouth formed an "oh". I nodded my head. "So, what did you come up with?" I asked.
Lory blew an exasperated sigh. "Nothing." I looked at her and Hunter. I laughed because they both look so annoyed. I asked them what their plans are and they proceeded to explain to me both of their points. I just nodded my head while they were explaining.
"So what do you think is better?" Hunter asked.
"Well, you both make good points. Since Lory's proposal is still a trend, but all trends come to an end. Hunter, your idea on the other hand, it's not bad. But I heard someone else is already following that trend from the other groups. It's Lesley's group and you know how she is." I gave them a knowing look.
"So? What are you suggesting?" Lory asked.
"I suggest, we make a new trend of our own." I told them. They both looked at me incredulously.
"That's not such a bad idea. But if we do that, it's not a trend. Not exactly yet. It's also not guaranteed to be a trend. That's a very big risk." Hunter pointed out.
"Well, it is indeed a very big and scary risk. But what's a business without some risks? Besides, it can be a trend if it captures the interests of people and if our marketing strat is effective." They were starting to get my point but I can sense that they are a bit hesitant still.
I opened my laptop and placed it in front of them. "Here. I'm done with the business plan. You can check it out and see if this works." They started reading my plan and as they were doing so, they were nodding their heads like it makes so much sense. After Hunter finished reading my plan, he raised his hand for a high five. I high-fived him and he smiled at me cheekily. "You're just brilliant. How did you do this without telling us?" He asked me.
"Oh. I just ... I don't know. You know that when I'm alone and intent on working, it just flows." I said shyly. He just gave me a grin and pinched my cheeks. "Looks like a good plan to me. We've got an ace right here." Lory grinned at me.
They started talking about moving forward with the project while I stood up to get my lunch. They are serving chicken wings today! Just my favorite. Yum. I was beaming the entire time that I was waiting in line. Even after I came back to my seat, I was beaming. I miss chicken wings! I was busy and enjoying my food when suddenly a guy sat in front of me.
I dropped my wing and my brows furrowed. "Hello Nics. Can you do this for me?" Ranier asked as he handed me sheets of paper. These are surveys for their paper for Entrepreneurship. I raised my brows. I was about to get the papers when Hunter chimed in. "Why are you asking Nicole?"
Ranier licked his lower lip. "Nothing. I just want her to." I was just staring at him the whole time. I don't quite get his point. He gave a sigh. "Can you just answer this for me?" Ranier asked. I sighed. "Okay. Are you going to wait for this or?" I left the question hanging.
"He can't wait for you here. I don't want to." We all looked at Hunter. My mouth fell at what he just said. Are they going to fight again?! They were both looking at each other ready to fight any minute now.
Ranier was the first one to let go of the staring contest and he blew an exasperated sigh. "Fine. I'll just see you later. I'll text you." I was about to ask how is he going to text me. He doesn't have my number but he already left the table. I blinked my eyes a couple of times not sure how to react in this situation.
