∞ Je ne sais quoi ∞
Amongst Kingston's green field surroundings lies the sight of two gullies enclosed in the arms of each other as they tighten their grip faster by the minute.
"Sup bro" Jasper managed to say trying to catch his breath once more."I missed, my newest presido.... Guyyy"
King chuckled at his friend's remarks that didn't seem like it would have an end any sooner. He was away for only just few weeks during the break with his father who was campaigning for the next president in line; and this his bestie was like he was going to lose it any moment if he was taken away.
Some few girls walked by as they chanted and blushed at the sight of king as if they had just saw a celeb.
"How are my ladies doing? " he bit those pink lips softly and winked at the girls who's faces were outlined with sheepish grin.
He had an adoring height which he inherited from his dad; a very light complexion, enough to call him the fair type. His curly hair he always had been in a spotting wave cut. His smile showing is lovely dimples. What more those a girl want in a guy that he doesn't worth?
With his drooling and breath taking looks, he got every girl he wanted within a twinkle of an eye.
"King you have not changed abi? You want winniefred to catch us" one of the girls jestered.
And there was jasper who was used to all the attention being thrown on his friend leaving him feeling awkward. Even when he had a first love in SS1 but he later found out she was just using him to get closer to King.
It hurts...
He was not too tall about 4'11" foot tall. Light brown skin and always with his glasses.
Nnenna and Chelsea who had managed to meet up after the first half of classes, Nne thought this time would be perfect to relate with Chelsea and show her round the school's surroundings.
It wasn't long before they caught the sight of the scenario from the far end where they stood near the school's joint (more like the "mischia hot-spot" as do normally call it). Lol
"Is he always like that?" Chelsea questioned
"Who? King?" Nne lips spread wider "He is more than what he seems on the outside when you get to know him"
"Please, I think I have seen enough from the way he kept drooling over me during classes; no thank you!"
"I mean, he hardly even knows me" Chelsea continued with her ranting and Nne kept rolling her eyes as they both walked down to jasper
"Nne..." jasper called lifting his head immediately he felt a jerk from Nne. He lighten up.
"Smallie, where have you been all day? You made me worry"
"Ah... Haba!" his eyes widen as Chelsea drew near "hmm..? " he exerted a call in a need for an introduction.
"Uh, She's Chelsea. She came to round up the session with us; do you remember my aunt's friend I told you about?"
"Oh, oh, oh... O my! When you mentioned Aunt's friend I was thinking someone elderly like you aunt. You wouldn't blame me na"
They both burst into laughter as jasper realized his silly mix up.
"Nice meeting you, dear " he turned his attention on Chelsea as she nodded her head softly.
"King!" Nne called out "What's your problem? Come here jo!"
King slowly jerked to the little gathering and there was a sudden abrupt change in Chelsea's mood as she looked away rolling her eyes at his presence. King cringed a little trying not to show it.

Later that day, the gleeful boyfriends walked home alone for Nne had decided to take Chelsea home on time before the time of curfew that aunt moji had ordained for her.
"I wonder why Nne took Chelsea, that girl sabi spoil bedu eh' " king rubbed the back of his ear. It seemed by the mention of the name "Chelsea" he would suddenly turn dumb.
"Isn't it obvious? You kept making her uncomfortable"
"But, I can't help it. There is this 'je ne sais quio' feeling I get when around her, you know"
"So what about Winnie? You haven't forgotten her so soon, have you? She isn't the kind to let it slide that easily, don't give Chelsea a tough time"
"Meh... Forget that one jo"
"O my... Nne must hear this. Wow! Thank God for Chelsea's arrival that's making you see the true features of Winnie" he danced round almost making a full out of himself forgetting eyes were watching.
King gave a goofy grin. Everyone knew that when it came to Winnie he was literally obsessed. So what happened now?
"Good afternoon, ma" Jasper prostrated flat on the tiled floor of King's family house to show mutual respect for King's mom which left a smile on her face as she nodded in response.
"Maami" King called rushing at his mom only to hug her but tightly.
"Oba, you didn't even say you should at least see me before going to bed last night"
King's mom, Mrs Adetunji knew why he behaved like that; having a rough face as he arrived that night was enough reason to know Mr Adetunji was the cause. Who didn't know him? Even the King's childhood family friends knew him quite so well.
If he wasn't on with perfection and aces, he would be provocative towards his helpless wife. All these King had tried to put up with his family. From being on about King following his footsteps in engaging in politics which king forbade and bad terms they always were in.
Once little king was making a childish mentality statement about his ambition on becoming a musician. Trust me, you do not want to know how King's father handled the situation.
"If you don't go and pack your things this instance, I will make sure you remain motherless all the days of your life and it wouldn't remove neither a sweat nor tear from me" those words were his father's threat always, yet to the world at least the people he could deceive, he was only but a noble man.
"Isn't old cargo in?"
"He isn't my dear. He went for a little gathering with some of his white friends who came to town"
King heaved a sigh of relief joining jasper on the double seated cushion as they focused on the TV show starring 'Henry danger' laughing out their guts.
"it's only been about a month and look how our small jasper is a fully grown man now"
A devilish scoff escaped King's lips "Jasppie, don't let Maami deceive you o. Fully grown man my foot" he grinned sheepishly as the small cushion pillow coming from no other direction than Jasper's hit his head hard.
