My Dark Days As A Junkie

No one ever wants to say "When I grow up I want to be a junkie ", but all too often it happens. It destroys dreams. It kills hopes. It destroys families. I went from a life loving, married man with a new born son, and a loving wife to being alone. I went from having a business of my own to shoplifting just to get a fix. From eating at family get togethers to eating out of a dumpster in a matter of years. This is my story as best as I can recall it without any embellishment or holding back. This story isnt pretty but being a opioid addict never is. I hope and pray you can take something from this story I'm telling and use it to stay clean or to get clean. This is dedicated to all the addict's out there still suffering and to my dear mother who lost her battle years ago.
