The sky had grown darker over the several past hours. The angels had taken time off the academy for a while and thankfully Sheila had been willing to explain to the dean on their behalf. He hadn't been told the full story but the story he had been told should buy the angels a few more days away from the academy.
Everybody had gathered in the study including the heroic spirits who were having their own conversation by the fireplace. Sheila and the angels were sitting comfortably with pastry dishes on platters presented before them. Kyle gobbled up his cakes before Sheila decided to talk first.
"We seem to be in a sort of situation here... Hannah you did say that you can't get a hold of Jesus for some reason?"
"Yea... I tried saying a lot of different things into the notebook and received absolutely no answer. Almost as if he's doing something else."
"Maybe it's just a coincidence and Jesus might have just gone for some sort of ceremony back home."
"The notebook has completely lost all of its divine aura... I'm certain something is going on and quite frankly I don't like it."
Kyle frowned even with frosting dripping down his lips he looked serious.
"Even so I don't think he would just leave us here like this if there really is something going on."
Hannah looked to a bookshelf by her side and mumbled something inaudible to the rest. Sheila could see that she was obviously discomforted and decided to change the topic.
"So Kyle you said something about some old building in the scholars district."
"Oh yea! I think we could use that place for something really cool."
"Like what?"
"Inter-planetary travel!!"
"...what..."
"Think about it... this world somehow has enough of a grasp on space that they can create dimensional rifts for storage. Usually that would require advanced technology to even open a gate but these guys somehow managed to research it enough to make it easy to open and close by will."
"So? There are millions of world that have magic just as good or even better? what's so great about it?"
"Its exactly because other worlds have magic just like this one that I believe we can use it to our advantage. Think of it like creating a bridge between two different cities that both have something you want."
"That still doesn't justify buying a building for something like that. I mean how would you even now the other world isn't full of powerhouses or even malevolent gods!?"
"I probably would need to study more on it but we could use it as a sort of trading port. I gather resources from this world study another and if successful we could trade for something benefiting both-"
"You just want to travel to Earth don't you..."(Hannah)
"...how did you-"
"Because I think we should go there too."
"What...what are you guys talking about?"
Kyle and Hannah were staring at each other with obvious hostility.
"Why do you want to go to Earth Hannah?"
"Because something is obviously happened there and its affecting me. What about you, Kyle?"
"I have someone I'm looking for there. You don't need to know who."
"I think I do."
Alicia looked at both Kyle and Hannah with a bit of worry. She also had a feeling she needed to go to Earth but she didn't want to speak up. Instead she picked up her plate and dropped it to the floor smashing it and startling everybody in the room.
"I can understand you guys are on edge but how about we just do Kyle's idea and all go together. Just think about it logically since Earth probably has some relation to us or maybe it doesn't. We don't need to argue over it, we have something more important to consider anyway like how to deal with this ancient."
"Let the elf king deal with them..."
"No...because I've made my decision."
Alicia got up from her seat and walked out of the room leaving everybody else staring at the door in confusion. But not long after she came through the door holding a familiar notebook and a smug grin.
She flipped the pages and showed everybody an all too familiar page with blue scribbling.
[1. become familiar with your wishes/ done]
[2. escape the (Dark forest) within 7 days, unnoticed/ done]
[3. go to the capital of the kingdom of Elves/ done]
[4. enter the Trascot magic academy/done]
[5. Defeat the ancient]
Alicia seemed proud of herself as her smug grin grew even wider as she watched everybody's surprised expressions.
"You do know that the notebook was handed to us but isn't ours..."
"That's not important right now because we have more important things to focus on like how are we going to save the people of this world."
Hannah stared at her sister and after a while her shocked expression changed to laughter. She seemed to relax and with a very proud expression she looked her sister straight in the eye."
"If that's all you want then I promise to help you all the way. Just tell me when we head out captain!"
"Thanks a lot Hannah!"
Kyle looked at both of the sisters before bursting into smiles.
"Fine if you guys really want to try the elf king's patience then mind if I join?"
"Of course the more the merrier."
Sheila stared at the angels who were all smiling proudly. They had reconciled in mere minutes and here she was just wanting to stay out of it. She stared at her cake and took a bite before pointing the rest at the angels.
"If you guys want to go fight this 'ancient' then I suggest you leave as soon as you can..."
"You're not coming?"
"Oh I will come but not now, not while i can't use my goddess powers."
"What exactly-"
"Don't worry about it too much. Just know you will see me later when you fight."
Kyle simply shrugged and got up from his seat. He had received enough motivation to at least fight. He was going to try his best to deal with the negative feelings he had by looking for a positive future.
"So...let's go today we can make it in about an hour or less."
*************
The dark forest had a dark atmosphere hang over it like some sort of omnipresent being. The dark sphere had definitely shrunk in size as it only filled half of the crater it had created when it appeared. The man was now sitting on top of it while biting his nails in agitation.
He had recently picked three energy sources in the direction of his old friend and although they didn't seem threatening at first he realized something terrifying.
{It's because of them that I woke up. I don't know who they are but their auras are causing imbalance in the magic levels of the world. Either they're extremely powerful gods or they're holding onto something giving off this large amounts of magic.}
He looked up to the cloudy sky. Despite the large clouds the man could catch glimpses of rainbow sky above the clouds. The Northern lights had been stretching farther and farther from the pole and even he knew what this meant.
{With those guys auras and my awakening this world has been flooded with too much magic energy to evenly distribute. This could pose as a benefit for me but it will definitely attract unwanted attention. I may need to slow down how much power i'm regaining.}
The man looked down to the dark sphere under him and placed his palms on its smooth slick surface.
[Awaken my blood, may my power return to me once more to whet my ax. Kirapos!!]
