MARGAUX
Kevin handed me the key to his bike.
The funeral home was still full of people but it was already pretty late and though I had tried to convince him to come with me and take some rest, Kevin simply shook his head.
"Stay with Astherielle, get some rest and I'll see you tomorrow." I sighed.
"Are you sure you'll be fine? I can stay, Kev."
Kevin shook his head.
"I'll be more at ease when I know that you're fine and you have a good rest. Though, of course, there's nothing more I would want than to have you here by my side."
I sighed for the second time around.
"Call me, Kevin. If there's anything you need or if you just want someone to talk to, call me."
I watch Kevin nod his head. Ready to take my leave, I grabbed one of Kevin's hands and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"That goes for you too, call me. If anything happens or if you're having trouble sleeping, call me."
It was my turn to give him a brief nod.
