Agatha
The day went by without him asking me to do anything. He never even left his office to get something to eat, he never even asked me to bring him coffee, or water, or even a pie. He's really in a bad mood. No one even dares to knock on his door for papers to sign or for any other matter. It's as if, the world stopped revolving.
It's almost five, I know I hated him as my boss, but he's still my employer and I need to take care of him, especially, when I promised his mother that I'll do exactly that.
I exhaled deeply, left my desk, and approached his closed door. I stood there for a solid couple of minutes before I cleared my throat and lifted my hand to knock on his door. This is it, I told myself. No backing out.
"What?!" he asked.
"Can I come in?" I bravely asked.
"Fine." He replied.
