The room was quiet to the point that you could hear a pin drop. Despite the Lord's aggressive behavior, the Head Maid didn't seem to react whatsoever, instead staying in the same position as she had been in. The group started to stir before a cook spoke up.
"A-Ah, Miss? Maybe you should listen to him.." The cook trembled. "He is still the Lord of-"
"AND!?" The Head Maid exploded. "Is that the only reason why I should listen to him? Just because he's the Lord?" She shook angrily, crazed eyes piercing into the cook. She slammed her clipboard to the ground, before breaking into a fit of laughter.
Slowly lifting her head, the Head Maid scowled. "Don't make me laugh." The cook shook and went silent. "Are you KIDDING ME!?" She exclaimed. "Have you already forgotten? He's a DEFECT! HE HAS NO RIGHT TO ORDER US AROUND! To order ME around." She glared at him on this last part, emphasizing who the message was meant for. Woojin only stared back. That only seemed to fuel the Head Maid's rage.
"Who do you think you are!? Ordering us around when you yourself are beneath us.." The woman scowled, storming up to Woojin. He shook his head before opening his mouth.
"Stand down." He began, dominance running throughout his voice. "Although I may be 'defective', I am still your Master. Continue with this revolting attitude and I will make you regret it." The woman twitched, irked at the behavior of the Master.
What was this? She had served the Lord ever since he was in diapers. She knew him better than anyone. This wasn't like him. This wasn't how it was supposed to go- she had gotten rid of his confidence over time so why was this happening?!
Whispers flooded the room as the Head Maid sank down to her knees. Where had it all gone wrong?
'Hyunie-ah!' A woman rushed towards her in her memories. 'This is my baby! I trust you, so make sure to take EXTRA good care of him, okay? He's my everything!' The beautiful woman giggled, before being picked up by a handsome man.
'Ha Roo Park!' The man swirled her around the air before they joined together with a kiss.
'Hey! Should the Duke of the Castang name be behaving like this?' The woman pouted. The two were in their own world, laughing in the field of flowers, oblivious of the maid sitting behind them. Hyunie gripped onto the baby, jealousy soaring through her veins. Her nails dug into the baby's clothes, causing the infant to let out a muffled wail. It wasn't fair.
It wasn't fair.
He should've been hers.
It's all their fault..
"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" The Head Maid screamed, grabbing onto a knife that had fallen on the ground, launching herself at the Lord.
