[Music Rec: Sneaky Snitch - Kevin MacLeod (XD took me so long to find this)]
"I'm gonna get rid of her, so I need a witness."
"Can't you just tell them the truth?"
"I need backup just in case..." she replies deep in thought.
Then she glares at him with a sharp glance, "You'd better do it or else I'll..."
Violetta smirks, an expression she probably should never have but she does...
"...you don't want to know," she finishes.
Claude gulps, thinking of the lewd possibilities of what would happen. 'My freaking chastity is being threatened, besides how the heck did she get it so accurate like-... omg what if she shows it to Blade and the old man and everyone's gonna blame me for getting a pure princess so dirty, and I'd better not start a stupid war over this. Blade is going to die of laughter and crap ughh!'
Claude's plan of watching a show and not planning to get involved has been broken down, and now, he's the main character of the show.
"Give me your cloak," Violetta demands.
"Why?"
"Because I'm hurt."
"Then just tear your dress."
"Excuse me what?" Violetta looks at Claude with an 'Are-you-ok?' look.
"..." Claude realizes… "Fine, fine."
He hands his cloak to her. Then, she explains the story that Claude has to tell the officials of the Demigod Society as she treats her injured arm, tearing Claude's cloak and wrapping her arm.
"...so you'll say that you saw me being pushed into this forest by Maya, the maid and helped me back. Easy enough, since it's the truth anyways," Violetta says.
Claude looks away, also playing with the wolf ears. He sighs, 'What a pain…'
"You. Heard. Me. Right?" Violetta states, so sharp it literally pierced the air.
Claude looks at her, stunned at the harshness, 'What gentle princess? They're all so blind! Or she has top rated acting skills but like…'
"Yes, I heard you."
"Good now we're going there before my father storms this place or something."
She pats some dust off pastel, light colored dress and plasters on the pure smile she's always had. In fact, Claude had guessed right. Meng Xiang's acting skills are quite advanced, as she always needed to act when she schemed against others' schemes. The I-Don't-Know-Anything smile has always been her most used and best personality to act. The only thing that he got wrong is the fact that she did not act all those years, she was actually genuinely pure.
Claude laughs inwardly, amused by this little girl in front of him. He picks her up in a princess-carrying position and starts to walk towards the holy palace and the white city.
"W-what are you doing?!" Violetta asks, her cover dropping drastically.
"Well, you are a princess and you're injured. It'd be ungentlemanly to have you walk on your own."
"I'm fine! I don't need any help walking, it's not like my legs are the ones injured."
"Hush, it'll make the story more believable," Claude replies, somewhat amused again, thinking about Blade actually believing the story and then Claude spilling the truth. 'I can't wait to see his shocked face, haha, he's like never ever shocked; this is gonna be hilarious!'
Meanwhile, Violetta pouts, as Claude carries her. 'What ungentlemanly! You're not even a human jeez! Ugh I guess it's fine because he's not even human.'
… the sole reason she'd even let him touch her. All those years of being confined without a shred of sunlight is more than enough reason for her to hate all men in general… although it's true there may be exceptions, but it's not like she's gonna patiently search for one that's good.
She furrows her brows and frowns when she thinks of that bastard. In her heart, she tears the picture to shreds and throws it for the crocodiles to eat.
The two kids are immersed in their thoughts as they travel their way through the white city, unknowing of the crowds with wide eyed scholars and thousands of jaw drops.
Once they enter another secluded area before the palace, Violetta's eyes start to wander, and she starts to play with Claude's amazingly pretty short hair.
Tampering with it like a kitten, she comments, "If you didn't have those ears and the tail, then you'd really pass for a human."
Claude snaps out of his pleasant thought process and his muscles tense, 'She's way too smart… dude, she hit the nail on the head…'
"What's the matter?" Violetta asks, frowning at the discomfort of bundled muscles on her smooth flawless skin.
"A-ah, nothing… we're here."
A towering beautiful white palace stands before them. Violetta gasps quietly in astonishment. It's a dozen times bigger than Beria Kingdom's castle and thousands of times more beautiful. The flawless marble-like walls stand tall and high, meticulous carvings and imprints in every surface and corner.
Claude puts up a barrier like thing around Violetta.
She frowns, "What's this?"
"It's for protection because the magic concentration in the palace is very high."
She looks at him suspiciously. 'Isn't he a magical beast or something? How does he know?' After a couple thoughts, she settles on the thought that he can detect it. How considerate, a small part of her says in the back of her mind.
They enter the grand hall where all the maids and knights are kneeling on the floor, including the escorts that are supposed to guide Princess Violetta.
The door shuts and all of the members in the grand hall turn towards Claude who is carrying Violetta. She signals him to let her down and they stand side by side.
Looking up at the person on the throne, she can already guess his identity.
"Your supremacy," she curtsies to the Supreme Demigod, speaking in the gentle and kind voice she's always used to.
Her father whom they are calling via magic exclaims with worry pestering and embarrassing the princess.
Using skills from her past life, Violetta acts without a slight bit of shame, as one should not know of 'embarrassment from parents' after being sheltered for so long.
Meanwhile, Claude stands there awkwardly, the old man glaring at him and Blade, who turns away trying to muffle his laughter. Claude's face turns slightly pink, and the only thing that could keep him distracted is his tail, which he swings and uses, trying to get more used to the new vertebrae.
'Ah shiet, I totally forgot that Blade would laugh at me 'cause I'm showing up as a 'spiritual beast'! Ugh, I was looking forward to seeing his shocked expression too much.'
He looks away even more embarrassed, as Blade looks back at Claude, his face red from trying to muffle the laughter.
'Damn it! It's all because of that drawing… diagram aaH! I totally underestimated this little kid!'
