After a short journey of two hours, the princess and her servants arrive at the beautiful headquarters of the Demigod Society.
The misty city looks so dominating and mysterious. Residing on a tall misty mountain capped with beautiful pure white ice and snow, as if there was eternal purity and holiness in this place. A huge palace stands in the middle of the clusters of tall towers, all seeming as if they are floating on clouds.
It was summer, but maybe because of the matureness of the place, or altitude, or purity, but there wasn't a trace of heat or discomfort as they walked towards the city.
Although almost unnoticeable, there are many people in white cloaks travelling around. They walk elegantly and professionally yet chatter excitedly and full of liveliness, giving everyone a good, warm feeling.
"Wow!" Violetta and the maids all gasp at the scene.
A couple of the Demigod Society's mages guide the group into the gate and towards the white buildings. The mage that came with them from the Berian Kingdom jumps forwards excitedly and greets her friends that she hasn't seen in quite some time.
Violetta stares in wonder at the heaven-like place, oblivious of the sharp gaze at her from a certain… maid…
After a brief, heartwarming reunion of the mages, they start to walk into the center of the city. The mages start to explain about the mythical land around them.
They look at the unique, white buildings, filled with bustling mages.
As they pass the first group of establishments, a breeze blows from the left, causing the group to look over.
What was found there astonished the new group. It was a towering figure, beautiful and majestic. Though they couldn't see clearly, it shook as the breeze passed causing an iridescent light to pass on the delicate leaves.
The mages smile at their reactions.
"That is the spirit tree. It's a very beautiful tree. It's off limits because of the magical beasts around that area and because of the powerful magic surrounding it. You guys shouldn't go there; the magic is too powerful. You will suffocate," one of the mages explains and warns, pointing at the figure in the area on the lower side of the mountain.
After stopping for a moment to admire the enchanting tree, they head forward again.
"Also, the palace in the center is where the magic council, the Supreme Demigod and their successors stay, so it also has powerful magic. Same rules as the spirit tree. If you'd like to go, please inform us, we'll escort you and create a safety barrier."
They arrive at a tall, grand tower, "Anyways, you will be staying in this tower for your visit. We hope it's to your liking."
The mages drop Violetta and the crew off, and they unpack in their lodging. Violetta squeals in delight at the unique designs. There are ones of flowers and branches, and others of marble carvings. She then heads over to the side hanging her clothes by herself and organizing her books. Unlike a usually pampered princess, it came natural to her to organize her things yet she has never done this before.
Then, Violetta sighs and pounces on her soft bed. It wasn't so soft that it would sink down to the ground, but just taut enough for one to awaken refreshingly. However, it was making her feel quite sleepy. Mmm… she can feel all her muscles relax and sink into a deep sleep…
Slap!* Violetta slaps her cheeks to awaken herself and shoves a couple spoonfuls of her spicy dish into her mouth. She immediately turns alert and awake.
Violetta searches her surroundings and looks out the window, showing the entire city of people and the cloudy area. Her eyes wander into the distance. She can see silver colored… no, transparent? Leaves?
'Whoa…' she musters out. 'That must be the spirit tree… it's so pretty.'
Knock, knock…
"Come in," Violetta calls in her sweet voice.
The maids, Kate and Maya walk in and curtsy to the princess.
They ask, "Your highness, would you like to walk around in your time here? We will escort you."
"Sure!" Violetta responds excitedly.
She assembles the knights and maids, but not the mage for the sake of disrupting her union with her friends.
They walk around the white buildings, watching people fly across the sky, transporting items with magic and such. On the outside, it'd look like quite a uniform city, but looking closely, it's actually very lively and fun.
Violetta prances around happily and breathes a breath of fresh, clean, cool air.
"Your highness," Maya bows, "Would you like to buy anything? There are a lot of unique items and dishes if you'd like."
"Hmm…" Violetta searches around with one specific item in mind, however, she doesn't spot any trace of the item.
She frowns, but decides, "I'd like a couple of the specialties to take back for mother, father, brother and myself."
Maya curtsies and tells the knights and Kate off to get the items.
"... but we should accompany the princess!" they protest, especially the knights.
"Ah, some of the items are a bit too heavy for Kate and I to carry by ourselves. It'd be better for you to help us too. Hmm… I'll accompany the princess in touring and then you guys carry the items back. Then we'll meet up again."
Violetta walks around dazed at the stunning place, as Maya follows with a too-good-to-be-true smile.
"Let's go this way," she 'suggests'.
Violetta follows, looking left and right at the wonders of the 'outside world' she's only seen in stories.
Somehow, it doesn't feel like her first time outside though…
A silver-ish, sky blue flash follows behind them in a white cloak, blending with the white buildings and fluffy clouds.
He pauses on the tree staring at the two figures in interest and amusement.
They suddenly walk around onto the end of a short cliff like area.
"Wow! That must be the forest of the spirit tree!" Violetta exclaims excitedly, watching the spirit tree so closely.
The translucent leaves glimmer in the sunlight, enchanting Violetta's gaze. A small forest area surrounds the great tree. One can definitely tell of the great magic surrounding the area, the mana overflowing. Normal humans would definitely not be able to stand the pressure if they take even one step into it.
Luckily, there's the small cliff-like area, like a balcony for Violetta to stand on and look out at.
"Would your highness like a closer look?" Maya speaks, in a hush voice, sharp and filled with hatred.
