Chapter 89 - Odd names

The wooden seat beside me had been replaced with a table laden with food. Erion had told me that it was already afternoon, but this was supposed to be my lunch.

Prince Alistair had returned to helping the people put up another tent. 'My work here is done. Make sure to get enough rest.' he kept reminding me.

I nibbled on what seemed like a bitter version of a chicken leg. Nevertheless, I ate about five of it. Sein sat on the bed beside me while Erion settled across. I had offered them to eat with me but they declined, to which I just shrugged as a reply. I was too hungry to mind the two who watched as I ate. I took big bites from the bread on my left hand and devoured the meat on my right. My hunger didn't mind the taste—it just urged me to eat more. I was famished.

After chugging down the water up to the last drop, I slammed the glass on the table satisfyingly.

Erion barked out a laugh. "I was wondering when you'd choke yourself from eating too fast."
