The illumination within the glass globe was snuffed out.
In a second, the insides of the cave were swallowed once more by the dimness.
"What—what have you done..." muttered the King with a dazed tone.
Heat. Overwhelming heat ignited in me. Power coursed through my veins, adrenaline rushing in.
I couldn't feel the gash on my chest. It was as though the wound disappeared without a trace. No, I couldn't feel my very self.
I was a husk, cleared out of my senses. There was only one thing I was certain of.

I faced the King, anxiousness and a hint of fear drawn on his face. It turned into a scowl.
I met his gaze and saw my reflection.
I was glowing all over. My arms, legs and hair. Even my eyes. My whole being was wrapped in a golden gleam. The brilliance embracing me burned brighter. More blinding.
