" Brother Lucian, the competition is tomorrow. Make sure to come okay?" asked Katelyn with overflowing happiness. She couldn't contain the excitement within her as she already decided for herself that she will be announced as winner." Yes, I will. How could I miss such an exciting show?" said Lucian with a playful smile. Hearing this Katelyn gave a broad smile to Lucian and left the room leaving Lucian alone. Lucian was so interested in Aella right from the moment he met her in the restaurant. He couldn't understand why there is no scent of her except for the perfume she uses. Every creature has a different kind of scent even though some use perfumes it couldn't hide their scent completely, Unless they are hiding it deliberately. But why would she need to hide her scent? Is she a vampire? Even if she tries to hide her scent she should be caught at least by me. I am the alpha king, I could even sense the smell of powerful purebloods. Then why can't I smell her scent? While he was lost in his own thoughts of Aella he unknowingly muttered " Angela..." and an evil smile curved up his lips. He decided to observe her more.
" Nana don't inform my brother about competing with werewolves. You can just inform it's a normal competition. Please Nana" Aella pleads Nancy with a pitiful face. Nancy gets shot by Aella's cute expression and gives in. " Okay, fine. But if you meet them more, then Ares will get notified the next second" warns Nancy. " Okay. I don't have any interest in meeting them. Why would I meet them?" assures Aella.
" Nana, I am off to get my meal. Rest well" she says and exits from the room. She calls Alex by taking her phone out
" Hey Alex, I am hungry now. Come down with a glass and a knife" she orders him. " Angela, I don't have a knife but I do have an empty glass" he tells her. Angela thinks for three seconds and finally says " It's okay, I can manage. Come down fast as it is still noon, we might go deep into the forest to prevent the smell to spread. okay?" she asks him. " Just give me one minute. I will be right there" telling this he ends the call and places his phone in his pocket. He runs down as fast as he can holding an empty glass.
Angela and Alex walks into the forest. Angela led him into the forest not too deep. They stopped after walking for a few minutes. Seeing Alex nervous face Angela told " Hey Alex don't get nervous. I won't hurt you too bad, I'll just cut your skin. Or would you prefer my fangs sunk in your skin?" she asks him with a grin. " No, thank you. I prefer you cutting my skin" he says looking at her annoyed.
Angela holds his hand with her left hand and raises her right hand forward to his hand. Her vampire claws grows as her hand reaches his, they are so sharp that just with a little scratch on his hand his blood started flowing out. He didn't even get the time to feel pain. He pressed his hand and placed the glass below the cut so the blood could fill the glass. He filled it and gave it to her. He took his napkin out trying to wrap around the wound so that the blood flow could stop, Angela took his hand and placed near her mouth, her pink eyes scanning his face. He blushed immediately when she started licking the blood on the cut with her hand out. She noticed his reddened face and let out a slight chuckle and immediately released his hand. When he saw his hand the cut already disappeared and there is no pain anymore as though as it never existed in the first place to begin with. He stared at Angela in surprise. He was so shocked.
"Alex your blood tastes sweet. It's good. Be healthy, I need more blood from you in the future" she said to him giving a friendly smile. She slowly sips the blood in the glass. As she goes on sipping her eyes turned into crystal red. They are so beautiful thought Alex looking into her eyes. He distracted his mind and asked " Okay and I heard you challenged Katelyn in swimming and volleyball?" he asked.
" Yes. Come to the pool tomorrow to watch my victory" she says with full of confidence. " Be careful, she won in swimming many times" he said with concerned eyes. " She doesn't have a chance to win tomorrow. You will know soon" she says and completes her glass. She tossed the glass there in the forest. " Alex, I think I will need some time to make this smell disappear. You go on and also tell Nana that I will be coming late to the dorms" she says with deep red eyes. She is still craving for blood and started turning into vampire. " Okay take care and return early" Alex said and left the place.
She sat under a tree and clutched her hands tightly. Suddenly she felt another presence near her. A werewolf presence. She silently climbed a tree and started looking down. She couldn't hide her smell and she completely turned into vampire her fangs grew and so are the nails. So she finally decided to attack the wolf before it calls the whole pack. Aella found the wolf, It has grey fur not as huge as the white wolf she saw in her dreams. She jumped from one tree to the other to get near the wolf. And she finally attacked the wolf with her claws and the wolf fell at quite a distance from where she stood. It isn't much powerful attack but it's enough to get the wolf seriously injured. The wolf tried to get up but it's in so much pain. When Aella jumped from one tree to the other the wolf caught the smell of her but before it could react she attacked.
The wolf was covered in blood. Listening by its cries one could tell it's a female. Aella could finally calm down and cover her scent so she left the forest as fast as she can. The wolf informed her pack members through her conversation in mind. They finally came to see her lay unconscious. Some of the pack members carried her away. They treated her and came to the conclusion that its a vampire attack judging by the claw print on her body. The members who are strong started tracing the vampire smell but they couldn't find as the smell disappeared in mid way. They thought the vampire must be powerful so they decided to inform this matter to the alpha king.
LUCIAN'S MANSION
The pack members came to Tyler hurriedly as they thought the vampire may attack the other members.
" Hey Tyler is the king here? " asked the alpha of the pack.
" What is it Jack? Why do you need the king?" inquired Tyler curiously. " There is a vampire attack" answered Jack the alpha of the pack in a hurried tone. "What!!? A vampire? Why didn't you follow it's scent?" asked Tyler. " We did, but it disappeared half way" said jack with disappointment. " I guess it's a pureblood that is why it could hide it's scent well. So we came to report this to the king" said Jack.
" Let's immediately inform him" said Tyler. and before they could enter the door they heard
" No need, I already heard everything. Is there any casualties?" came a voice of a majestic man behind them. " Yes my king there is. One of our female got attacked when she tried to follow the scent. The vampire attacked her only once and she was seriously injured" said Jack to Lucian in a humble voice.
" Take me there" he ordered to Jack. They finally reached the place where the attack took place. The scent is very light if not for the stronger ones normal werewolves couldn't smell it. Lucian got some strange sensations but before he could realize anything the smell vanished. Clearing his head he spoke " Check the places around the forest and get some members to search every inch of the forest. Wait, if I remember correctly the university girls dorms are near to this place. Maybe ....." before he completed the sentence someone came into his mind. Lucian looked at Tyler as to check if he got the same idea and yes they both suspected one person. They hurriedly started running towards the dorms.
AELLA'S ROOM
Aella ran super fast to the dorm building after getting rid of the scent. She started climbing the walls and suddenly opened her room window which made Nancy scream in fear. " Aella knock the door before you come in" said Nancy in an irritated tone. " Technically speaking, I didn't come through the door Nana" said Aella sarcastically. Before Nancy could punch her, Aella went inside the washroom to fresh up. She came out after few minutes while Nana is busy talking to Ares. As soon as she saw Aella coming out of the washroom she said to Ares " Ares your sister is frightening me to death! She suddenly barged into the room through the window and she didn't even knock. You don't know how I got terrified at the sudden sight of her" she said while making teasing expressions to Aella.
" Give the phone to Aella. Don't worry dear I will talk to her" Ares said in a gentle voice and gave her a kiss on the phone and Nancy returned it.
" Hey Ares, how ar---", "AELLA!! What did I tell you, don't make it difficult to Nancy. I guess you miss our home so much?" he screamed at Aella before she could complete her sentence.
" No, Ares. I promise this won't happen again. I don't want to go back. Please" pleaded Aella with sweet voice. While Aella is talking on the phone there is a sudden knock on their door. Nancy left to open the door but Aella didn't seem to realize the knock sound on the door.
