Chapter 18 - Chapter 16 ● Prince's Birthday Banquet (part 2)●

○ Hey guys I'm back with a party that awaits the entire Capital of Zifen. Our prince is gonna turn seventeen and we all are celebrating this prestigious day with a bang as we all were there a night before for the discussion that we heard from the backgrounds of the noble Consort's courtyard. So today is the prince's birthday banquet and everyone is celebrating...even the prince. Without any further due lets jump right into the chapter. ○

At the capital,

The celebrations were captivating as organised by the Emperor's Family. Their were several guests arrival and all from noble backgrounds. All types of food and delicacies were prepared by the central palace and the entire capital was decorated like a newly wedded couple with some of the auspicious items that were kept for ritualistic purposes for the prince. The palace was in a joyful bliss everyone except the emperor. He knew that his son would be safe till his 17th birthday...until that day. Yet another storm was approaching the palace that no one had ever known about. The storm that would change the history of Zifen.

In the Central court,

The emperor arrives at the hall gates and approached to the central throne room while everyone else stood up to pay him respect.

Emperor, (After taking his seat) you all may sit down! commanded the emperor.

The Nobles then sat down to listen to a speech of thanks prepared by the emperor Qian.

Elsewhere, Haitian town.

Jingsì, Jinbao and Mistress Yi have turned to a stay in' at the market of the town where they spent their night and woke up early to leave for the capital.

At the dinning hall while having breakfast all three of them discussing their path to the Red fountain palace and enjoying the food. Jinbao completed his meal and went out to look for necessities for the journey.

Jingsì- Grand aunt, I wanted to ask you about your life. As I have heard from mother that you were once one of the most powerful cultivators but then you gave up being a cultivator and became the Master of our Nun clan....

I know that it's a little personal but I'm extremely curious.

Mistress Yi, No No dear don't be apologetic. It's completely fine I'll tell you...

So when I was a kid I used to live with my brother Lianchao in the white temple medows. That place was beautiful and had abundance of herbs. Our master Chen Bao ren was the great Bodhisattva saint who taught us to cultivate along with 3 other students. We mastered the techniques he taught us with enhanced skills. The herbal knowledge that I have was given to me by Bao Master. I and Lianchao were his most powerful students. After a few years as we grew up to be of 15 years old Master Bao went to the Peace Pinac Mountains to take Samadhi as he had fulfilled all his jobs as a teacher, Master and a cultivator. We both me and my brother were the eldest of all in that time who had the knowledge of all the cultivation skills required to master Qi. But the palace could only have one Imperial Master so we had to stiffen our differences at that time. Years passed and we became cold towards each other day by day. On the final selection day I was 23 years old when the Blue moon Duel took place to select the new master of the White temple Medow. We had a long fight as we both were the heir to Bao Master's legacy we fought earnestly and the battle took 3 days but at the end Lianchao won the title so I became his subordinate and he became the successor to Master's legacy. Then a few events took place in the Medow and we split our paths. He shifted his palace to Mountains and named it Red fountain. Where as I created the Nun clan to help people and women who were abandoned by their families. I didn't give up on my cultivation instead I used my knowledge to serve people in need who were suffering and needed medical ailment. I used all my healing skills to serve as a doctor and a healer. I also taught several other women to be independent and serve humanity to respect their virtues and attain the merits of the Nun clan. This is how the Clan was started by my selfless teachings. Although my relationship with my brother is bitter but I still care for him.

Jingsì- Ohh so that is why the great Master Liao Yi became the Clan Mistress Yi of the Nun clan. I will always remember Grand aunt's teachings from her story.

Mistress Yi, very well Jingś you thought of the teachings while listening to my life experience. This is a rare quality that I admire a lot. It's only observed to exist with a very few people. I like this quality of yours Jingsì.

Jingsì- Thank You Grand aunt!

Jinbao entered the hall way calling Jingsì and Mistress.

Jinbao- Mistress, Jingsì we are ready for the departure. We shall leave as soon as possible.

Mistress Yi, Yes Jinbao...prepare the horses we are coming within a moment.

Jingsì- I'll go and fetch some food and water for us as we might need it. (She walks to the counter where the owner was seated and asks her if she can get some packed food and water for their journey.)

After getting everything that they need, they decided to leave for the capital. The path from Haitian Town to the capital was short. They needed to cross the Village of San zin and they would reach the capital in hours.

Elsewhere at the Palace,

After the Thankful speech given by the Emperor's Decree dictator on behalf of emperor Qian it was time to complete the ritual of True Succession that the prince would perform as it was believed to bring peace and serenity to his life and grant a longer life span. During this ritual the prince would wear a navy blue Yifu with magnificent gold embroidered overcoat. This would require him to walk to the Grand hall to pay respect to the Heavenly gods and the Prime celestials.

The Emperor ordered everyone to accompany him to the Grand hall after getting the news that Prince Yan has arrived at the Grand hall along with the Emperor's family.

At the Grand Hall,

All the court people sat down on their knees as the Prince approached the Grand hall. The emperor arrived with the Nobles to grant prince Yan the power of Succession of capital. For this he brought a Pale yellow-red coat as the symbol of a crowned prince as well as the Successor to the throne just to show the people of Zifen an image of their future ruler.

According to the tradition the Blue Yifu was given to the prince by his mother as a symbol of love and motherhood. This time it was given to Prince Yan by Consort Han indirectly by Princess A'rou's hands. As the imperial noble consort knew that the prince would never accept this from her. So she took Princess A'rou's help.

As all the guests arrived at the Grand hall they were all taken towards the Banquet hall directly as no one except the Royal family was allowed to enter the Grand Hall. The Emperor went In the Grand hall which was located at the top of the slope that was 200 stairs up. The Emperor entered first and after him the prince was allowed to enter to complete knotows to the prime beings and ancestors. Although the prince hated to see the emperor he somehow managed to complete the ceremony without obstructions.

The Emperor then rewarded him with the Capital Succession Yifu. This was also a ritualistic affair that the Emperor would dress his successor with his own two hands as a symbol of Respect, love and Confidence towards the succession. After completing the rituals. The prince was entitled as Capital Successor of the Qian Emperor and the Zifen Empire.

Then after the Emperor along with the crowned prince and his family entered the Royal banquet together. This was a Grand Celebration. As the emperor earlier gave the punishment to Prince Yan he was still angry with him. This feeling was similar with prince Yan as he was not at all happy while performing any of the official rituals of the royal Heir. This attitude of his towards the Succession was noticeable which aggravated the Emperor's anger at him.

The Banquet had a lot of people along the side who had presents for the crowned prince. First was the chance for Imperial Noble consort Han to gift the crowned prince with her blessings and her present she especially prepared for him.

Consort Han, May the God bless crowned prince with abundance of knowledge, life span and good health. I as the Imperial Mother of the Nation would like to present the gift prepared by the late empress Li Zifen on her behalf for the prince's seventeenth birthday.

Listening to this both the prince and the emperor were shocked. With similar expressions they looked at each other startled and confused. As they did not expect that the late empress would leave something as a gift and they wouldn't have the knowledge about it.

○ So this chapter ends here and in the next chapter we will see the unexpected gift that the crowned prince is going to ask from the emperor that will make the emperor outraged.😢 So tune in for the next update as it's gonna be spicy and sad.○
