"Sanara?" My eyes adjusted into the light; as my vision gets clearer, there stands my mother with cross arms. She is dressed in formal clothes, pearls hanging around her neck as she smirks to the person across from her — my father. Behind the bars, his hands clasping the cold metal while sending death glares to the woman he is supposedly in love with. "She's good as dead."

My body springs up from the bed. Sweat dripping down my forehead, the rapid beating of my heart squeezing out all the air from my lungs. That is one terrible nightmare.. these dreams about my past have started again. I knew how bad my mother was in my dreams, but I just cannot depend on them. I have no evidence. These dreams could be lies, maybe my mother was nothing like that at all.
