I'm sitting here again swaying my feet back and forth. It is still the same... the sunset, the tree with its falling leaves, and me....Still waiting for how many days. I'm afraid of heights but here I am at the edge of the cliff. I stared at the things beneath me. Huge wide stones were buried in the rich brown soil while its rough pointy edges darted through. No plant was visible below, it was spooky especially that darkness is starting to devour the little streaks of light left by the once beaming sun.
I sighed as I continued to patiently wait...mosquitos started feasting off of me...
The moon started peeping through the dusky clouds .Its dim light barely kissing my face. I wanted to wait a little longer but I already have to go home. As I face the path towards the road, I started feeling chills. I never went home with my surroundings this dark. Just looking at the path I am to walk through to reach my car gave me chills .I intake deep long breaths before finally wearing my black hoodie jacket. I didn't bother looking at my surroundings and just briskly paced through the tall trees. Brittle twigs were cracking as I step on some of them while the cold wind made the trees whisper like people sharing hushed secrets. As soon as I reached my car, I hurriedly went inside while letting out a deep sigh. I left the mouth of the forest still hearing owls hooting and other animals stalking they prey through the night.
I plopped down my bed after having a sip of tea. My cat, Orion tried hopping on my bed. His futile attempt to climb my bed made me chuckle.
"Here..." I carried him with a smile still lingering on my face. It positioned its huge warm furry belly on my stomach.
"Why don't you exercise you lazy cat" I smoothed his silky orangey fur.
It has been two hours since I woke up and am still awake busy staring at the ceiling. Memories of today started flooding my mind. Unknowingly, tears started to escape my eyes. I let them slide down the corners of my eyes.
"Corbin...where are you?"
