Kat and James talked a little more as they made the slow trip back to Kat's house mostly because James was trying to be careful of his injuries and wounds. Once they pulled into the driveway Kat waited a second before he slowly exited the car.
"So how mad do you think your mother will be that you skipped school?" asked James as he got out of the car and approached him.
"Not as mad as she will be when she see my wounds." sighed Kat with a slight wince of pain as he started for the door, "Good thing I'm a somewhat decent actor."
"I just hope she gives me the time to explain myself." sighed James as they neared the door.
"What in the name of felines do you think makes you think you can just go skipping school when ever you feel like it?" snapped Kat's mother once they were inside.
"It's a long and complex story." sighed James trying to draw her anger and attention from Kat so he could slip around her without showing off his wounds as much as possible.
