Chapter 11 - WITHIN THE JOURNALS

ROBBIE'S POV

I woke early in the morning and proceeded to make a cup of morning tea then prepared breakfast for Kristy, which just like always I would leave at the table for her to find later.

After drinking my tea and having a slide of bread, I went to the home garden to plant the dianthus seeds. I only used my hands to dig out the soil since the flowers wouldn't need a deep hole, after putting them in I covered the hole with some soil and sprinkle a little water.

The was one out of two,

Now before I go to work I should at least read some of the journal's content.

The first journal that I opened is old it has a black leather cover, which is in good condition aside from a few scratches and thorns. As I opened the journal the scent of old paper and dust hit my nostrils, each page is intact however visibly old. Whoever wrote this sure has messy handwriting but readable nonetheless.

As I scan the contents of each page all of them are discussing otherworldly being, sightings, and personal researches. There are entries about the healing properties of a siren's blood and the ability of a fairy's flesh to grant temporary youth. However, the author stated they were not tested and are both just theories.

I kept on reading… on and on

But as I flick the page… something fell of…

It was a piece of paper… with a formula written and in thick black lines, the author had written…

'HUMAN REANIMATION'

The process of bringing a person back to life.

The process included the use of multiple summoning materials while using forbidden magic to summon the desired spirit and the devil to make a fact. The devil himself will create a body and attach the soul to it. However, the process requires a human sacrifice while the fact may differ from the person who performed the ritual.

It was horrifying truly horrifying, the thought of killing someone to selfishly bring back another… it was unimaginable.

Shaking the horrible idea I placed the piece of paperback in the journal then stood up to get ready for work.

RACHELLE'S POV

I opened my eyes as I felt the rays of sunshine warmed my face, the room was bright from the morning sun and it looks absolutely astonishing as the light reflected in the clean surfaces of the furniture. Suddenly there was a knock then a voice spoke, it was a cold and chilling voice…so calm that it sends shivers down my spine.

"Miss, may I come in" the voice said.

Sitting up I fixed my hair then proceeded to answer "Yes you may"

The door opened, reviling the same girl that served us the tea in the drawing-room. Her porcelain skin reflecting the sunshine, her dull empty eyes, and beautiful pale lips hold no emotions… looking t her walk around and hearing her speak makes it difficult to accept the truth that she's a living doll. But her cold voice and face deprived of emotions say otherwise.

"I brought you this change of clothes as the Master instructed. Also, I shall help you bathe and escort you to the dining hall for breakfast" she said ever so coldly.

Standing up I took the clothes from the "Actually it's fine I can bathe and find the dining hall by myself" I said.

"I understand you wanted some privacy then, please proceed to the bathroom and I shall report back to the Master" said before bowing slightly.

I nodded and then walked towards the bathroom within the spacious bedroom.

As I entered the bathroom the steam coming from the hot water in the tub floated around, there's a towel hanging near the tub, and arrays of soaps line the bathroom shelf.

Walking closely I put a hand in the water to feel the temperature it was warm to the touch, not too hot and not too cold.

I proceeded to take off my clothes and put them in the laundry basket.

Sitting in the bath I felt my muscles relaxed…

I closed my eyes but once I opened them again the water turned red, the thick liquid clung to my skin as if wanting to drag me down.

I wanted to scream but no voice came out, the surroundings become darker and darker.

And in the far end corner of the room. I saw a woman standing, her long wavy hair covering her face. She was wearing a black-cloaked. As she stood in her place, blood dripped down from the sleeves of the cloak.

Is this it?

Am I going to die here?

Without finding my way home or reaching a conclusion that will answer my questions?

No… please…

Mother I…

Wish to be beside you one last time…

Mom… I

Love…

You…and sorry…

Suddenly I opened my eyes with heavy breathes I composed myself. I fell asleep while taking a bath…it was nothing more than a dream.

I took another deep breath and quickly stood up not wanting to stay in the room for another moment.

However before I exited the bathroom I took my phone, keys, and the letter from Robbie that I kept in the pockets of my skirt.

Taking them out I decided to keep them in the drawer next to the bed.

I picked up the clothes the maid had given me.

It was a dress… a white long-sleeved sundress, reaching right below my knees. It was fairly simple aside from the pink ribbon in the collar and the floral patterns in the hem of its skirt, it was almost plain but I appreciate its simplicity.

Wearing the dress I finally headed to the dining hall.

Walking towards the dining hall I can't help think about the dream I had in the bath. I wonder who was that woman and why did I even dream of her.

Reaching the dining hall I shook those thoughts out of head…

Opening the door I was greeted by a long rectangular table, sitting in the head was Alexander who's waiting for me patiently.

"Good morning Alexander" I said as I walked in.

He turned to look at me… his eyes narrowed slightly.

"What took you so long?" he asked his voice suggesting his irritation.

Walking my way to the table I smile at him, trying to ignore his mild glare.

ALEXANDER'S POV

I heard the door opened, ah finally it felt like I've been waiting forever. Looking at Rachelle it feels like the air had been knocked out of my lungs.

Seeing her wear that short white dress that hugs her curves in all the right places makes me want to sweep her off of her feet. Her black hair is let loose, framing her beautiful face perfectly. She looks absolutely gorgeous and as I look at her all of my irritations from waiting just… went away. The sun shone brightly making her eyes glitter like an expensive diamond.

Walking towards me she smiled… making my heart beat faster, oh the magic she brings.

I've never felt more alive.

As if,

After all these years of existing painfully, the sun finally rose once more.
