ROBBIE'S POV
The day had passed quite quickly and my work from the fields is over. At last, it's time to go home and see my little sister. I left her home once again but I don't need to worry she's maybe young but Kristy is smart and responsible, I know she'll be fine.
Walking my way home, I heard a whisper…
"It's time to collect the ingredients...the revival of the loved one must be performed…make miracle Robbie…you were born for this…think about your mother and father, their souls burning in hell… pull them out, bring them back. You can do it and we both know you want it"
Covering my ears I tried to block the voice "Shut up!" I screamed as I closed my eyes.
"Enough! You're wrong! I don't want to!"
I can't do that, it's immoral…I…
Suddenly the voices vanished… I opened my eyes to see the setting sun, the color red, orange, and yellow mixing to the darkened sky.
I should go home…that was I only thought.
I don't want to make Kristy worry about me.
With heavy breaths and dreadful feeling, I walked on.
Reaching home I was greeted by Kristy her cheerful smile and bright eyes took all of the dreadful feelings away. At that moment I felt peace, the voices that had been bugging me since this morning seems to disappear never to return again. My beloved little sister is truly an angel, she's my… savior.
Kristy quickly hugged me which I gladly returned.
"I missed you Kristy" I said as I smiled down at her.
"I missed you too Big Brother" She replied looking up to give me another smile.
It was nice…
Just the two of us happily together…
The wind blew and the night is moving closer.
"Let's go inside Kristy, Big Brother will cook a delicious dinner for you" I said letting her go.
"Okay!" she answered running towards the house with a huge smile on her face.
As I watched her walk away the voices returned.
"Sacrifice…"
I felt a chill run down my spine and if felt as if my blood run cold, the voices are suggesting that I use my sister as a sacrifice…
I can't do that… no…
I have to stop this…
I have to get rid of the voices…
But for the time being, I have to take Kristy somewhere safe… somewhere far away from me… a place where I can't hurt her.
Even if things get messy,
And I know where exactly would that place be.
ALEXNDER'S POV
After the little incident with the kelpie earlier this noon, Rachelle and I returned to the library. And right at this moment, she's reading a book about the kelpie, hoping to find a way to befriend the creature.
"Maybe if I offered him an apple then-" she mumbled.
"Rachelle" I said shaking my head. That creature had been that grumpy and hateful for the longest time and I doubt that an apple will change a thing.
On that note there are a lot of dangerous creatures outside the mansion, it would be for my best interest if I explained each one to Rachelle to prevent the mistake.
Earlier I…
The thought of losing her scared me…
I don't want that to happen… I… I think… I lo-
No! Alexander stop being so foolish! She likes Robbie and… I… I can't be with anyone.
NEVER!
I will be forever alone that was my fate.
I really need to stop this…
I need to keep her out of my life…outside my walls…
Away from my heart… that's the only way we can both be happy.
Or… at the very least, that is the only way for her to be happy.
After settling with a decision, I spoke.
"Rachelle, I need to tell you about some things around the mansion. I want to prevent the same mistake earlier" I started
"By now I think it's clear that the creatures that you once thought of as children's story or an old wives' tale are very much real" I continued as she locked eyes with me, her orbs glimmering brightly with both curiosity and worry.
"Alright I'm listening" she said with a nod urging me to continue.
"I see… well…where to start…" I said trying to find the right words, to begin with.
"As you already know the maids are actually wisps but that's about it inside the mansion, however out there a lot of creatures roam free. On the lake, the kelpie is the only thing you need to worry about but there's also an Asrai living within its waters. But it's alright because Asrias are very timid and gentle I can assure you that she's very friendly." I told her as she looked at me tentatively.
"The bigger problem is what dwells within the wood, there are so many creatures out there that even I don't know off. But based on what I've seen so far there are Padfoot and Pucas in the forest, while the Pucas are only mischievous at worst they also tend to bring back luck. Padfoot, on the other hand, is much more dangerous. They can easily be compared to a hellhound they are big wolf like creatures… huge, mean and will hunt you down..."
I paused for a moment making sure I'm not scaring her.
After making sure she's fine I continued.
"There's also the occasional visit of a banshee and a dullahan but no worries they are just passing by so unless you disturb or anger them you have nothing to worry about. But I still suggest you avoid going out at night because we can never know what kind of creature will crawl out of the forest."
Rachelle pursed her lips "Basically then I have to be careful around the forest and not to run into things that would appear before me" she said.
"Yes, that's basically it" I answered.
"I think…I can handle that" she said with a small smile on her beautiful face.
"Do you have any questions?" I asked but hoping there would be none.
"Well… not a question but a request. If you don't mind I would like to meet the maids and the cook, I mean if I'm staying here for some time I would like to get to know them. Not to mention that I'm curious about their… well… identity" she told me as her hand fidgeted a little.
"Well that can be easily arranged" I said
Standing up I took the bell that is neatly placed in the table and rang the bell.
As always, almost immediately footsteps echoed from the halls and after some time a knock was heard.
"Master, you called?" a voice spoke it was Andrea.
"Yes, come on in I have something to tell you" the door opened revealing the girl or should I say doll. Her porcelain skin are still in good condition and her black hair is well kept despite of being let loose, but just like always her orbs bare no human emotions.
Andrea stopped right in front of me, patiently waiting for further instruction.
"I would like you to call the others to formally meet Rachelle, that'll be all" I order.
Right after I spoke she bowed her a little and quietly left the room.
Sitting back down I looked at Rachelle, who's making a weird face on me.
Raising a brow in confusion I asked "Is there something wrong?
"No…just, someone's bossy" she said looking at with a seemingly mocking smile.
"No, I'm not. All of them had been so stiff about the whole servant thing that I ended up getting use to it" I told her with a sigh. It's true at first I tried telling them not to call me master and drop the formalities but they never listened so I just ended up letting it go.
For so long they have been my company and if it wasn't for them I might have lost my mind a long time ago.
They are not just servants…
They are…
