Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Talk

"I had a dream," Leo sighed.

"It was just a dream, don't let it get to you," I replied, hoping he would change his mind. "What was it about?"

"I don't want to talk about it, you'll think I'm crazy," Leo replied softly.

"Baby, don't let it get to you," I replied.

"Why does it bother you so much?"

"I've had this same dream for about a week, I feel it's a sign," Leo replied.

"Why, how am I supposed to know if you won't tell me," I asked. "You also know I don't believe in that stuff, it's stupid."

"Fine, the only way to get to the restaurant is to go over the train tracks, right?" Leo replied, annoyed.

"Yeah, so?" I questioned.

"The dream is when we go out for our anniversary and go over the tracks we get hit by a train and then the dream stops, it scares me, I don't trust it, I've had this dream multiple times for about a week," Leo explained nervously.

"Sweetheart, what are the chances of that happening, you know the arms go down and that trains only occasionally go on the track, we'll be fine," I said. "I'll drive, there's nothing to worry about."

"Please, I…" Leo tried.

"It's not going to happen, it's a dream, it's not really going to happen," I interrupted. "Let it go, it's a special day tomorrow and you're going to ruin it because of a dream, because you think it will happen, remember the last time when this happened, the dream didn't come true."

"I'm sorry Klara, maybe you're right," Leo replied. "I'm sorry, it just scared me."

"Leo, I know you believe in ghosts and witchcraft, but I don't, you know I hate when you talk about it, I'm sorry, I may have overreacted a bit," I apologized.

"It's fine," Leo smiled. "I think I'm just under too much pressure and stress," Leo sighed.

"About what?" I asked.

"About the surprise I have for you," Leo replied.

"Oh," I replied, shocked. "It's a big surprise then, huh."

"Yeah," Leo then yawned.

"It is late, I'll go home and meet you here tomorrow," I laughed. "I love you."

"I love you too, goodnight baby," Leo replied as I started for the door.

"Goodnight," I replied as I walked out the door.
