The next day before their date I got ready and went over to Leo's house. "You ready?" I asked excitedly.
"Yeah, never been readier," Leo replied. "You made me feel better about today, that dream was really bugging me."
"Glad I could change your mind," I replied. "I was excited to go out to eat and give you your surprise."
"Sorry," Leo laughed.
"Let's go get in the car, let's go," I said and walked outside with him. As we drove, we talked about things we've done in the past and memories we've had from the past as well, like how we met in highschool and started dating after we both turned 20. When we got close to the railroad crossing Leo went silent. "Baby, you ok."
"Y-yeah it was just a dream," Leo smiled and watched me glance to see if a train was coming. There wasn't and the railroad arms were up.
"Yeah it was," I said and then all of a sudden I heard a train horn when we got to the middle of the track and before I knew it a big jolt of the impact hit the car and a wave of pain flew through my body. Then the car was sent a few inches from the tracks slamming into a tree on Leo's side. The train had hit my side of the car and I slowly looked over at Leo who was extremely shocked and was bleeding really badly. "Leo, are you ok?"
"I knew we shouldn't have gone, and you Jinxed us," Leo replied quickly and then looked at me and his expression changed to sadness.
