Four days had expired since the party split up. Xerxes had read the book entirely, and learned a few new manipulations that would help him significantly. The first was an enhancement that was used by a mighty warrior called {Overpower}. This spell doubles your power out put, but also doubles the amount of mana spent. The second spell {Explosive Rune}. This was a fire spell set as a trap mostly. Once it was stepped on, the spell would erupt. He also had learned the dark spell, {Dark Sacrifice}. Like the Iron Maiden the caster sacrifices half of his life force to increase his power. These powerful spells were all used to subdue the demon race, which would now become a demons unrivaled power. With the knights and mages who Xerxes allowed to surrender with the condition of spreading his name throughout Destra. Most everyone had accepted him as the God of Destruction which makes {Overpower} and {Dark Sacrifice} a lot less of a sacrifice. Since his mana capacity and his life force has went up exponentially. "These ruins are sure to be far to easy for me. However it may be just the challenge the sisters need to level up". Xerxes headed over to Destra to gather the party.
Xura had hid her family in the capital, and Sarah had been resting safely in the guild hall to fully regain her strength. The girls were already waiting for Xerxes at Destra's west gate with a empty cart. Sarah had researched the location of the ruins. "The ruins lay far to the west on the border of the Delmont kingdom, and the Haret Empire". Xerxes grabbed the railing on the cart. "Girls jump in". The sister jump in just as Xerxes asked. "This will be a good time to test my new spells. Hold on Sarah, Xura. {Ability Boost},{Overpower},{Dark Sacrifice}. The earth shook and rattled, as the earth itself was in fear of Xerxes. A thunderous boom scattered through the air, as Xerxes broke the sound barrier. In what seemed to be just a minute the party was on the kingdom's west border.
"That was insane! How did we move that fast?". Sarah asked dumbfounded. "I told you sis there is nobody alive that can match his power", Xura said. The party walked to the south through a large section of forest when the had finally stumbled upon the ruins. They left the empty cart at the tree line and walked to the a large circular formation of stone with a opening with stairs that led into the ruins. Above the opening was a massive stone with the name Gilgesh carved into it. The girls looked around in awe. Xerxes on the other hand headed straight into the ruin. The sisters hurried to catch up with him. Listen ladies it looks as if there are multiple levels to it. I would like you two to battle anything we run into. If you are in a situation that you can't handle I will step in". "You've got it Xerxes this will be a great time for us to increase our strength". Xura getting pumped up for the battles to come. Sarah said nothing at all she just spun her daggers in her hands and began to walk deeper into the ruin.
The first floor was infested with goblin underlings. Xura equipped her {God Sword} and Sarah with her daggers and using {Shadow Step} wiped out the goblins easily within a few minutes. The group headed on to the second floor. The second floor was guarded by orcs. A much larger beast that is also much stronger. The sisters had to turn up their effort, but these creatures were still no match. Xura's {Chain Lightning} along with her {God Sword} was a trill to watch. Sarah was also very impressive. She used a spell called {Puppet Master}. She took over an orc's body and used it as a weapon to smash the others. The girls slaughtered every beast that dare showed their face until the fifth floor. Where the party came across a massive stone golem. Xura's lightning had no effect on the creature, and he would use earth magic to block her from getting into close quarters. Sarah could sneak up on the golem but his power level was too high to overtake his mind. No matter that they were clearly out matched the sister unleashed barrage after barrage of devastating attacks. They were both taking damage from the massive stone beast, but they were very persistent. It seemed as if the two had finally worn the beast down enough to catch a break. Xura headed them both with {Radiant Light}. The Xerxes from the side line told Sarah about the {Dark Sacrifice} spell.
Sarah used the spell. Xura was apposed to the idea, but she knew they had to do something. Sarah vanished into the shadows, popping back into view behind the colossal golem and the sister attacked in unison. {God Flash Strike},{Death Strike}. The two spells crashed into the giant. The ruins shook and the floor cracked and cratered. When the dust settled the golem was now just a pile of stones. "Well done you two, but I think from here on out I will fight while you rest". Xerxes exclaimed as he began his decent deeper into Gilgesh. The sisters heard loud crashes, felt the floor shaking under their feet. Then silence fell through the ruins for a few moments. The it started again. This process went on four more times.
The girls couldn't stand that they weren't able to see Xerxes in all his glory devastating the ruins. They rushed down to catch up to him. As they ran through the dungeon they saw dead golems, larger than the one they had fought. Other floors had dead stone drakes, and various other creatures. All nothing more than lifeless bodies on the floor. They finally caught up to Xerxes on the ninth floor approaching the stairs that led down to the tenth and final floor. "Xerxes it must be true. You power is immense. Only you are worthy to be called God of Destruction". Sarah said. "I'm glad that you have recognized me Sarah. What say we finish off this ruin. I'm tired of all this dust". Xerxes now walking down to the bottom floor, were something powerful lurked.
