Chapter 45 - 28 September 2020

I ended waking up early on an off day. Great. But it was for a good reason since my landlord was asking me for a job. From what I understand, his job is basically data entering and the company is going to lay him off of the 3rd of October. So, he wants to get a job.

I asked my HR to contact him and see what job they can offer him. He should fine since PS does pay well. I tried going back to sleep but to no avail. So, I went out to get lunch. Not after tossing and turning in bed for two hours, of course.

Went to the nearby shophouses to look for fun. There were a few coffee shops but mostly the shops there were selling alcohol. But I finally found an eatery that sells bento sets. Their bar looks so classic. It was minimal but way better than my workplace.

The food was only 9 dollars and I was instantly served iced water. It was so nice. I later went back to tweak my song to have another tune and recorded it. I updated my journal as well, added a few more chapters. And then, I took a nap.

Ma called me, saying that she was going to Tampines to get her phone fixed. An old friend of my parents works over there as a phone repairman.

Those working in the military are not allowed to have another job, even part-time ones. But this dude, AS, is crazy about phones. He asked his wife to open a shop at Tampines and he'll drop by to help her run the business as a side hobby.

I got Ash's phone fixed there and now Ma is getting a new phone cover, screen protector and a sandblast for her phone. In Singapore, those who are in the Military are not allowed to bring handphones with cameras into the camps and workplaces.

The payment was only 16 dollars and two cups of coffee. The sandblasting itself would've cost her about 30 dollars but due to connections, it was free. AS was also so worried when he heard that I had moved out at the tender age of 19.

Poor dude, due to the requirements now, they had cut the manpower in his sector. So now, he is working a job that's supposed to be for 4 persons. The poor man lost his sense of time when he thought I brought Ash down to the shop just a week ago. It was two months ago.

Next, Ma and I went to eat dinner and get myself some hair ties. She also got me a jacket. I am now planning to start a story prompt-based book.

Nights,
