Today's an overall bad day at work. I did so many mistakes, to the point I question my existence at work. I forgot to put the drink into the GRAB order. I served the soup to the wrong table, that pissed me off 'cause I asked if he had ordered and he nodded. Liar.
The trainee complained to me about what Yon said to her. This, I find it odd, since Yon isn't the type to be harsh. Especially since the trainee, Zhi, is just, well, a trainee. Apparently, Yon said that she was very disappointed with Zhi's performance as the main server and that she'd high hopes for the girl.
I mean, it's not Zhi's fault, there are many things to do as the main server. They are the ones who know their tables like the back of their hands. They understand the menu and they are the ones who describe it to the customers with ease and confidence.
Then what Yon said really put me off is that she straight up said the Lil did a terrible job in teaching Zhi. To be honest, this kind of thing can't be pinpointed only to one person. From what I've learned, the whole team should be blamed for not taking care of her.
There was a previous trainee that was worse than her, but Leo didn't blame anyone for the trainee's poor performance. Not even at my previous workplace, I had such things. I don't go blaming my manager for it, even with my hot temper. And if I wanted to, I only blame myself.
Because I'm the one who trained the newcomers. This helped me when I went to an internship and I could easily teach the kids. But anyway, it wasn't right for Yon to say such things. I felt sorry for Zhi, she's genuinely good.
At the end of my shift, I had my meal of mackies with Ash. We talked about dreams and nightmares. We talked about our past and what we've experienced when we were young. And I learned that, despite our different stories, it was our loneliness that drew us together.
He is a great stickman, quietly listening to my ramblings, even if he doesn't understand them. We talked until midnight. RP has accepted my day course for Basic Video Editing and Creation.
