Chapter 19 - What I Wanted to Say to Her

This is the night that Alex is going to get married with Christian. Their wedding is being held in a glamorous chapel. Their friends and relatives arrived to the wedding. Alex was wearing a lovely white gown that glittered in the minds of many people.

"You have waited an endless moment for this. Mr. Christian Andersen and Ms. Alexandria Madrigal have entered. Please allow them a big round of applause!" the wedding host said while the two of them marching to the stage. The crowd gave them a round of applause as they saw them. Alex felt flustered, but Christian was there to support her.

"We will have a representative for everyone assembled here today. Please allow yourself a small introduction and greeting." the wedding host announced, and they rose from their seats.

*bang!*

The crowd surprised when Teddy, Riley, Divina, and Rejean barged in the door. The spotlight directed on them as they barged in. The guests were murmuring as they don't recognize what was going on, and they also surprised the two. Riley took the microphone on the left side, and he gave it to Rejean.

"Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm extremely honored… I'm not scared…" she stammered in stage fright, and Riley pats her shoulder. "Calm down, Rejean…" he tenderly says.

"I'm Rejean Clementine. We… are Alexandria's friends from high school. Please let us say a few words as her friends," Alex shocks when she saw heard that they are her friends from high school. Rejean gave the microphone to Teddy as he wants to say a few words.

"Alexandria, I'm glad I made your pink gown outfit for you at the prom. That was the first time I had such a fun time doing an experience like that with an acquaintance," he said, he smiles. He gave the microphone to Divina.

"I was really happy when we ate snacks together in the courtyard. You were such a wonderful person, Alexandria. I wanted to be like you someday," she said, and she gave the microphone to Riley.

"I always thought you were a wonderful woman. But… you hit me. You were incredibly cold to me… My impression of you changed but… I think you were better that way…" he said, and he totally resolved. Because of Alex's slap on his face, his pride lowered, and he got the happiness he always wanted. He gave the microphone back to his wife.

"At the camp, when you ran away in the forest… I thought you were a real pain but… You were cute so I forgave you!" she said as she can't hold back her tears. "We had a lot of fun! Are you really okay being over there?" she asked as her tears fell down.

Alex felt so confused, but it astonished her on what she had heard. It surprised her she had friends back in their high school. All of them are staring at her, including Christian, as he doesn't know what she'll say.

"Thank… you," she said nicely.

They expected that this was going to happen. She doesn't remember them. Rejean hides her face in Riley's chest as she feels that she wanted to cry. He held her tight to comfort her. Teddy comes closer to Alex, and he lends a present to her.

"This is a congratulatory gift for you. It's from a friend who always wanted to see you." he said as he smiles. Alex receives the present from him.

"Sorry for the disturbance." Rejean said to the crowd, and she walks out the door immediately together with others.

"We were planning on having the bride's relatives and friends say some words, but this sudden surprise must shock you. Now, let's continue our small introduction and greeting!"

Alex was still out of her thought as she thinks about them. She thought about the person who wanted to see her all this time.

As the marriage continues, Alex still bearing the present that it's delivered to her. She thought about opening it while the wedding is going on. When she opened the present, she saw a picture of her and Ellie, taken on their first date back from six years ago. Ellie looked annoyed there in the picture, while Alex smiled with happiness. She wondered on what she saw, but she felt that she had found what she had been looking for. Some fragments were rushing through her mind. Can she remember now what happened in the past?
