The sky was clear. The leaves of green trees wore a gold shade. It was a lovely evening with the birds chirping.
Maira left the Rose kingdom and entered into the forest along with Raghu and Raji. They are travelling in the direction of the King's fort with the help of a pigeon which greeted Maira at the entrance of the forests of Lotus kingdom. The trio are very excited to meet Ashmita and the King. Raghu and Raji noticed a faint glow in Maira's face due to happiness. After long years she is going to meet her family.
"Raji ma..! How do you think my sister looks like?" Maira suddenly asked.
"Just like you dear.. and as beautiful as you." Raji said with motherly love.
"Yes. Yes! We are twins after all.. right??" Maira asked with a big smile and the couples just nodded their heads. They can clearly see the excitement on her face.
"From today onwards you are going to live with your own family.. Maira", Raghu said.
Hearing this, Maira was filled with mixed emotions. After the reunion with her family, will she have to leave Raji and Raghu? After finding her real parents, can she not call them Ma and Dada anymore? Will she have to look at them like servants? All such kinds of questions are running in her head. But she knows the answer to all of them is a big NO!!!!
Maira knows that she'd never forget the people who raised her like their own daughter. Also she knows, it is for Maira herself they never had a baby until now. They made many sacrifices for her and she feels indebted to them until her last breath.
"You both are always my own family. Just new members are adding into our family dada", Maira said with a smile.
Both of them are shocked by Maira's words. They don't know how to reply to her. "But dear, you are princess of a kingdom and we're just servants to your mother and we never thought in our wild dreams that we want to become a part of your family", Raghu explained hurriedly.
From the day she was born the couple looked after Maira as their princess and they did it for their queen. To not let any differences in upbringing her, they dropped the idea of having a child of their own. But deep down in their hearts, they also know they pampered and raised her like their own daughter.
"No Dada, you are not servants. You are my family. If it's not for you, I would have been long dead. So I consider you as my family and my sister, birth parents will add to our family. Remember that's the way it is going to be." Maira said with sincerity.
Both Raji and Raghu had tears in their eyes. They got down from their horses and hugged Maira with affection.
"Dear Maira, we are very lucky to have you as our child. No matter what happens, you will still be our child", Raji said while crying happy tears.
"So you agree, we are a family now right?" Maira asked with a smile.
The couple both nodded and said "Yes!! We are.." and hugged Maira. The pigeon also joined the group hug.
Suddenly a horse came in their direction and before they could notice the rider, it ran past them so fast as if to escape something so evil. In that process something fell down from the horse.
Maira noticed this and went to look at that object. When she lifted it into her hands and saw what it was, her eyes got widened.
Raghu and Raji walked to Maira so as to look at the thing she was holding. Maira was holding some badge which is generally worn by the soldiers as a part of their uniforms. They thought that it belongs to one of the soldiers of the Lotus kingdom which they are travelling in.
But as they looked at it clearly, they stood shocked with bewilderment as they understood it belonged to a kingdom which separated the twins twenty years ago.
"Maira..This badge.. it has the symbol of.." Raghu tried to get his voice.
"Rose Kingdom." Maira completed the sentence with a stern voice.
Maira's thoughts are running wild so do the couple's thoughts too. They are thinking the worst possibilities. Maira was the first one to react.
"Dada you both go meet the king and inform him about our arrival. I have a bad feeling that this soldier is here for some foul purpose or for ashmita. Whatever the reason could be, I don't want to take any chances. I will chase him down and make sure that he doesn't surpass the borders of this kingdom" Maira said coldly.
"But.. Maira it is dange..'' before Raji could finish her words, Maira left. Like a wind.
Left with no other options, the couple continued in the direction of the palace, led by the pigeon.
The sun is setting in the horizon, Ashmita overrides all the soldiers who are in search of the culprit. She is moving like an arrow which was shot to only touch the target but not anything.
The darkness is spreading the entire forest but her speed didn't get slow, not even a little. She is going after that culprit like a tigress hunting her prey.
She is following the culprit horse's footsteps but after some time she notices footsteps of another horse in the same way. This confused Ashmita but she didn't care for anything even if there are thousands in an army waiting for her, ahead.
Maira also chases the person like a cheetah. She didn't slow down. That fugitive person noticed maira and he tried to shoot arrows back but Maira smoothly dodged every arrow with ease and without any harm.
Figuring out that she is a skilful warrior, he increased his speed to the exit of the forest. Noticing this maira releases the reins of the horse before patting her, indicating to take control.
She folded her hands near her chest, closed her eyes and prayed, "Mother nature. Please help me and stop that person I am chasing."
Suddenly the roots of the trees emerged out from the earth and made a wall of strong roots in the way. By the sudden appearance of the obstacle, he lost control of the horse, hit it and both fell on the ground with a loud thud.
