Chapter 7 - I'm hungry, can you show me the cafeteria? (II)

The students that were lined up, especially the girls, beamed their eyes with hearts. Some even move the moment they see the two handsome guys at E University enter the cafeteria. Who wouldn't get tainted by red on their cheeks? Seeing the son of the Ross Clan, Liechael, together with Shaun Barton, the school's escort, is enough to melt the girls.

As usual, Shaun will do his finger heart and smile back at his admirers. He received screams and compliments. He thought that Liechael would do the same. Doesn't he always smile at the girls who praise him?.

Shaun's face turned plain as his lips twitched and his shoulders shrugged. The guy walking next to him is like a robot, expressionless. 'What is wrong with him?'. Since he couldn't take it anymore, he wrapped his arms around Liechael's shoulders and whispered. "What are you doing, dude? Your admirers are cheering on you. As a gentleman, you need to give them a smile."

He didn't know that this Liechael was different. He just looked at Shaun and briefly said, "I'm hungry."

The other male couldn't do anything but to sigh in dismay. Since his gamer buddy is hungry, guess he had no choice but to feed him. They approached the counter and put themselves on the line. The girls are separated from the boys, which makes it look well-organized.

"Good morning, young master Ross," the lady smiled at them when it's their turn. "What do you want to eat today? Should I serve the usual?" she asked.

Liechael looked at the menu displayed on the big screen behind the lady. He scanned everything and then answered. "I want the caesar salad and a pork cutlet,"

The lady from the other side almost gasped. "A-Are y-you sure, young master?!" she asked again, in case she heard it wrong. She didn't want to lose her job and got embarrassed in front of the young master.

Liechael nodded his head, plainly.

From his side, Shaun tapped his shoulders. "You didn't like salad dressings before. What happened? Are you now following your dietary plan?" he smirked, trying to tease the guy. Because the truth is, the real Liechael will just order a burger and an ice cream for his lunch. This is so unexpected that even the lady went back with an unexplainable expression on her face as she served the food on the tray.

Seeing the salad, Shaun butted in again. "You're really going to eat this?" he even pointed at the transparent lid of the round black tupperware. "I thought you don't like lettuce?"

Liechael glanced at him. "It's my favorite," he replied, picking the tray.

Just when he was about to turn around, the lady stopped him by stating the amount of his orders. He almost forgot that he was here to buy lunch and not to ask. Liechael put the tray back on the counter and groped his pockets. He paused when he realized that he forgot his wallet inside his bag. Does he really have a wallet with him in the first place? He needed to check.

Before he could come up with an excuse, a DING sound rang beside him. He saw a silver card between Shaun's fingers; he swiped it to the machine near the counter. "If you want to buy lunch, you need this card," he winked, assuming that he's very reliable. "Where's your card, Chael? You forgot it again, didn't you?" he brushed his face. "Aishh! I'm always telling you to check your pockets before heading to the cafeteria—wait a minute! Let me order first," then Shaun went back to the lady to grab his own food.

'He's very talkative,' Liechael thought.

They shared the same table and ate their lunch quietly. Shaun ordered rice and a curry with his yogurt and soda. Even Liechael can imagine the aftertaste of curry mixing with yogurt. The silver card crossed his mind. "The silver card? What is that for?" he asked, straight to the point.

As expected, Shaun scoffed. "Pfftt!!" he giggled, hiding his joy. "Are you joking right now? I'm with you when it's being made." he munched the last piece of his curry. "You're the one who suggested that, Chael...you said that you wanted the students to gain something from working hard so you asked your father to produce those cards, and at the end of the month, students here will receive free points," he licked the yogurt on his lips. "The free points will serve as their money inside the school,"

"I...suggested that?" Liechael was surprised, but remained calm.

Shaun nodded vigorously. "Yes, but I'm the one who designed the card," he said with his nose high.

He can do that because he was Shaun Barton. Heir of the widest gaming company in the City. He developed his own game at the age of 10. A pro beta tester and a gamer God. But because he's still 15, he still had a lot to learn before claiming that company.

Liechael's gaze went outside the glass wall. The cafeteria was on the 4th floor so he could see the School's wide garden from his seat. His eyes suddenly got caught by someone sitting on the bench. In front of that figure was a big white canvas with a paintbrush, stroking it with colors so gently. The student painting it was facing the front, so Liechael can only see her back.

That light, long brown hair was very familiar.

"Chael?"

"Hey, Chael?"

Liechael jolted and turned his eyes back to Shaun, who was now holding a tablet in his hands. There are sounds coming from his device and from the looks of it, he was playing a game. His face will squint and then furrow and then he will smirk.

"Gaahh!! I couldn't finish this damn mission!" Shaun cursed out, wanting to throw the tablet for the last minute. He put it down and grabbed his head, "I still need to familiarize this character's moves," It was probably a game from another gaming company and since he's used being a beta tester, it was his first time encountering a complicated game. "This game is so unpredictable, I don't like it." Then he remembered the guy across his table.

"Hey, Chael! I kept on calling you, help me here too,"
