"Argh! I couldn't even concentrate!"
Shaun dropped his head on the textbook. He leaned his two arms on the table beside his ears and scowled. He had no problems studying at all. This boy is a top student. But when he's in this state, it's because he's upset. Why upset? Because he couldn't understand how the game he's playing earlier works.
His face bounced on the middle page of the book under his cheeks. He sighed before making his body straight. In an instant, a smack landed on his head.
"No sleeping in the library," Lilith wanted to yell, but she can't in this place. She sharply glared at Shaun, who's now rubbing his soft greyish brown hair and pouting his lips. "I'm not sleeping," he mumbled.
Liechael just eyed them before taking his eyes back to the book he's reading. After the afternoon class, Lilith dragged him along to the library because they needed to talk about something. Liechael loves to read, so it's not a problem for him.
"Why are you even here? I didn't invite you to come with us," Lilith once again snorted with her cold eyes.
Shaun across the table, beside Liechael, crossed his arms. "Why? I'm part of the student council too," he said, high-nose. "You don't have the right to shove me away," he added.
Hearing this, Lilith couldn't help but snort a chuckle. "Really? You're too proud of that? Student Council Escort, Mr. Shaun Barton," she toned up the name sarcastically. She knew that the guy's going to brag about his handsome face again.
Shaun didn't let his flag down. "Why are you so focused on my face, Ms. Lilith Aphelion? You should be thankful, the most handsome guy in school is having his only time with you except Liechael," he proclaimed.
The girl lifted her feet and kicked Shaun's legs under the table. The long table they're into bounced a little when the guy jolted between pain and surprise. He rubbed his legs and squinted his eyes at Lilith. Though the girl made a grin back.
'Are they always like this?' Liechael made a small sigh and closed the book he had been reading since earlier. "Too noisy,"
Lilith and Shaun, who's busy kicking each other under the table, froze. They gulped and met Liechael's cold but expressionless eyes. Suddenly, an intimidating aura conquered the atmosphere between them, and they quickly averted their gaze and kept quiet.
To loosen the tension, Shaun secretly took a glimpse of Liechael's book. The guy was reading a page about rebirth and reincarnation. "I didn't know that you like these kinds of topics, you told me before that science is boring," Shaun poked at the page of the textbook.
"Did I say that?" Liechael asked.
Shaun nodded, "Yes, yes" he answered. Proud of himself because he took away the heavy aura. He snorted and said. "Are you interested in supernaturals now? I told you, it's very intriguing" He didn't mean the book though. He's talking about the genre of the last game he made on his own. Liechael didn't like these kinds of stuff back then, so when Shaun asked if he can play and test the game, Liechael refused.
He's grinning stupidly wide that Lilith almost can't take seeing his pride. She put another book on the desk. "Stop babbling nonsense. We are here to study and to discuss something." she said, still frowning.
Shaun again got a little annoyed, "Seriously, what is wrong with you today?" He whispered ironically.
"If you want to talk about your games and stuff, better wait outside..We are discussing another topic here, you see," Lilith raised one of her brows and struck the guy with her sharp eyes.
"What's the discussion all about?" Liechael remained calm. His eyes were still down on the page he was reading. Not even showing any ignorance between the two. Shouldn't he be supposed to scold them just like before? His temperament really changed. He's not nosy anymore.
Lilith ignored her curious thoughts as she cleared her throat. "Yesterday, Miss Carrein went to the student council office," she stated. Her face returned to her usual expression. "Since the School will hold an exhibit after two months, she wanted help from us,"
"If assisting the school exhibit is what she likes, then it's not a problem. I can ask my dad," Shaun said.
"What do you take me for? I can also assist the exhibit." Lilith again frowned. "But it's not what she wanted," she leaned closer to them. "She's talking about art class."
THUD!
"A-ART C-CLASS?!" Liechael exclaimed, closing the book aggressively. The two stared at him, trying to get the expression written on his face.
"Chael?" Lilith beamed. She stood up and grasped the guy's hand. "Do you want to be in charge of gathering students for the art class?!" she excitedly blabbed out. "You know, I still have a lot of tasks to do. I can't do this all alone...I need help!"
Shaun clicked his tongue, "Why bother him, though? You can just ask each class representative to list down the names of the students who want to join." He stated. "Chael hates art in the first place, so will he take the charge?" He gave a 'what the heck are you thinking?' look.
Lilith snarled at him, "I don't care if Chael can draw or if he hates arts. I didn't even push him to make one, you idiot.." she went back to her seat. "What I'm trying to say is, Miss Carrein wanted to gather some students who's talented at arts. Since technology is conquering our generation today, she wanted something far from ordinary," she said.
The other guy leaned his back on the chair. "Like a painting exhibit?"
The girl gave Shaun an okay sign, "That's it!"
Liechael, on the other side, remained silent. Still feeling the warmth from Lilith's touch. He lowered his head upon feeling this sensation. Did he get excited just by hearing the word ART? It's his passion and—life.
A pain jolted in his chest, throbbing continuously. The feelings he wanted to forget are all coming back.
