Later in the day we went out. Chaoxing didn't want us to carry any servant so we went without them. Today we were one ordinary couple who just want to hang out together.
From the market which was so erratic to the shop were they sold silks, today seemed to be going well. Chaoxing had found a way for the villagers to be able to sell their silks in the capital. I have to say, the patterns made on the silk by the villagers were simply amazing.
They had one of the best embroidery skills. I had also heard that Li juan was the best at embroidery. Feeling one of the silks, I put it against my skin. Soft!
"Do you like it?" He asked
"No. I was just admiring the patterns. You have really done a lot for the people here in Sichuan"
"It was my father who did most of the work. The city used to look so deserted. When my father came, he carried a lot of reforms on the city. Now, he is gone. A new governor has been elected but the city is still prospering" he said.
