*Lijuan's POV
Again, time flies! Its been so long since I saw the emperor. I wonder what he has been doing. The empress dowager's birthday was coming up. In all my time here, she was the only one I felt was really fond of me. She will often call me into the palace to chat and have tea.
"My lady! My lady!" Ruomei said screaming.
"Ruomei, why are you always screaming?" I said.
Ruomei was an eccentric girl. She was always so lively over the littlest of things while Suyin was the complete opposite. She hardly smiles. It was as if she wasn't expecting anything good to come out of her life but she was very competent.
"The empress dowager has sent for you again. I think she really likes you." She said.
"Where is Chaoxing?" I asked.
"He has gone to court." She said.
