"Greetings to you mother" I say immediately knowing it's her. She takes her seat and her personal maid raises me up.

"Mother, please forgive me. I have been busy preparing for my marriage with the princess." I say trying to appease mother.
She has always worried about me since I was young. It is my dream to take her away from the palace but mother wants me to ascend the throne and I dare not disobey her.
"Xing'er, it is obvious that the king is plotting something . You and the princess are both the Emperor' s god siblings and everyone knows how much Lijuan and the emperor love each other. We must be cautious."she said with worry.
"No need to worry mother. I have everything under control."
"Tomorrow, you and I will pay a visit to the general's manor. Let us see the situation there" she said.
