Chapter 2 - Hello, Hell I'm Home.

Ally ran to her room throwing on her best trainers knowing this would be a run and a half. Isaac wouldn't be back for another three hours and she didn't have time to wait, even though he would be angry she went alone. Isaac was protective of Ally to the point he had to know if she was going out of town, or sometimes even the bathroom depending on how tough times were. Noah walked by and stopped seeing his mother tie up her hair, which was rare unless she was going for a fight.

Noah, "Mom, what's going on?" Ally startled then smiled brightly seeing her cute little son brushing his brown curls away from those handsome deep eyes. Noah was her baby still, Lilly was a mature young woman now so didn't need her daily cuddles anymore so Noah was like a cute little puppy you couldn't help pet.

Ally, "I'm going back to the territory for an hour or so, to fetch your cousin with Uncle Blake, are you okay to hold down the fort?" Noah looked a little worried but in his eyes, his mother was the strongest person in the world.

Noah, "Dad's gonna be mad. And Lilly's here she'll take care of everything."

Ally, "Your right your sister's reliable at times like this and yes...your dad's going to be really mad but I'll handle it, honey. I love you, see you soon."

Noah, "I love you too, be careful." Ally smiled feeling that warmth in her chest before kissing his head. Noah wasn't embarrassed to say such things like other teenage boys, because as a King you learn from a young age to always say what you mean because there's always a chance won't say it when you need too. Ally ran back to the kitchen where Maya stood screaming at Blake not to disturb her parents which was another way of blackmailing him not to go. Lilly looked at her mother anxiously, her hair was tied up and her usual business look had turned serious. Ally ignored the baffling couple and hugged Lilly tightly so they could feel each other's heartbeats. Ally's slow steady rhythm made Lilly's calm back to its resting state, it was a trick they used to calm each other since being united.

Lilly, "Can I come with you?" Ally let her loose before studying her, it was rare for her to ask such a thing. And if Noah hadn't of been there surely those puppy dog eyes would have won her over. Lilly wasn't a child anymore and had learned to fight with Isaac and herself from a young age. So, Lilly could take care of herself, that was something she didn't need to prove.

Ally, "You can't sweetheart, I need you to watch Noah for me. Next time I promise you can come with me when your father can watch your brother. This time I need you to hold the fort, okay and I'll be back in a couple of hours. I love you." Lilly was dejected, she wanted to save her little cousin but that little glint in her mother's eyes meant the truth. Next time she would get to see the place she was born outside of visiting Luther's grave.

Lilly, "I love you too, be safe okay?" Ally kissed her cheek and nodded sternly. There was no way she wouldn't come back even if her limbs were ripped apart. Lilly and Noah were her life, she would always come home for them.

Ally, "Blake let's go and get Jack. I've heard enough out of her mouth." They exited with Maya shouting after them, even as they got in Ally's car she still tried to stop them but they were siblings on a mission. With their windows rolled down and engine revving they sped off through town towards the border.

Ally clenched her hands on the steering wheel. Maya was once a young pretty kind-hearted girl but along the way had poisoned herself to this life. Sure enough, living in the human community wasn't for everyone but if that were so she shouldn't have agreed to live there with Blake. Ally noticed his sky blue eyes reflecting sorrowfully in the windshield and it made her heart ache seeing he clearly blamed himself.

Blake, "Are you angry with me?"

Ally, "Not even a little bit. You want a happy life for your family I'm far too guilty of the same thing to judge you brother." Blake smiled slightly, Ally always made him feel better at times like this. She didn't beat around the bush so when she said she wasn't angry she meant it.

Blake, "Still, Lilly got really upset I've never seen her like that. And carrying Jack's problem son her shoulders makes me feel like a failure as a father."

Ally, "Blake that's enough, Lilly is a tough girl that looks after her own. Friends confidence is different from that of parents, you'll agree with me. I told you things I wouldn't dare tell anyone else when we were little. Especially our parents." It as true Ally hadn't seen her daughter so heated since birth but this concerned her precious cousin that she'd doted on since he was born. In a way, if Ally was in Lilly's shoes she would have handled that situation a lot worse especially at 16 which was usually the hardest time of a wolfs life. Maturity was something she reached in mind but not in the body just like Ally.

Blake, "What should I do with Maya?" Ally's hands squeaked on the wheel, she was dreading this question, if Blake asked this then it meant she had to tell the truth about his wife that he loved dearly.

Ally, "Are you sure you want me to answer that?" She didn't want his feelings to hurt anymore than they already had. Blake cautiously chooses whether to shake it off and forget it and nod letting the truth spill-free. Ally didn't lie or twist peoples persona, she saw things how they were and said it just as much. It would be brutal for him but subsequently, he nodded. Sighing Ally tucked her loose black strands behind her ear, in a way she didn't want to say anything. Maya and Blake fell in love back in the territory, they met by chance while preparations to move to the human world were being made. Ally was riddled with grief so didn't see much of their starting relationship but actually liked her once Blake formally introduced themselves as mates. But...

Ally, "I've said it from the beginning that... after time people change. They become too content or feel too isolated in their own mind, they need to move on and try different things in order to adapt to the changes in both their maturity and personality. Maya grew up in a lower-class pack with little freedom and quite frankly I think that's the way she wishes to live, in a safe place that she knows well so this city is taking a toll on her. We've been clashing for a while now Blake, and that's because I know deep down that Maya doesn't appreciate what we went through, she doesn't care about what we experienced in that place. I'm not a saint Blake and I don't know everything but I am telling you for the sake of your son's mentality to sit down with her and ask directly 'What is it that you want?'"

Blake, "What if she does want to go back, and I can't change her mind?"

Ally, "Then you let ger go." Blake had almost teary eyes hearing Ally say that sure it sounded harsh but her next statement made everything make sense.

Ally, "People cannot control other's action, if someone if willing to leave in order to fulfil their own selfish desires then you let that person go. Not because you hate them or because you're mad. You let them go so they can be happy and free and if that's what Maya wishes and you don't then ask Jack who he'd rather stay with and go from there. Just know that this is not your faulty like I say people change brother, you just have to learn to let live." Blake was hurt but slightly relieved too. At least now he knew what to do if things did go south. Then he pushed aside his own issues and recollected Ally's words which unconsciously referenced to Luther and herself.

No person felt emotions the same in her eyes, even if you felt nothing that was a farce because every single soul on this planet was made to feed off of emotions. If they're negative then the soul will corrupt, if they're positive your soul grows strong enough to support broken souls. It was continuous clockwork repeating over thousands of years.

Blake, "So if Lilly wanted to leave and go back to the territory would you let her?" Ally bowed her head sadly, she never liked thinking about the day her baby birds would leave the nest and go there of all places. But, mothers are there to raise their children to the best of their ability and then sit back once their job was done and watch their child flourish or crash and burn. But, she didn't want that at all, the world was too unpredictable to even let them out of her sight.

Ally, "I would support her, not condone it. Kids are receptive creatures, Lilly knows what happened and the fact I don't like our homestead so most likely unless she absolutely has too, she'll never come here." Blake watched Ally's stern glare at the road ahead telling those words, she knew her daughter more than anyone but could she really swear Lilly wouldn't go there?

Blake, "I've said Lilly was your clone from the start but she's not as painfully honest as you are. That's one place I can say my dignity is safe." Ally smirked, that wasn't true Lilly was in fact even more painfully honest than herself except she didn't show with words, it was her actions.

Ally, "So you'd say I'm painfully honest, do you hate it?" She chuckled having nostalgic flashbacks to her childhood.

Blake, "Are you kidding, I'm jealous you can say such things. Sometimes you were too honest, even about things you didn't do." That much was true, Noah was like that too. Her gorgeous son was kind-hearted to the point he'd take the blame away from Lilly every time something broke, despite it being her 99% of the time. Blake smirked to himself.

Blake, "Like the time Mother smashed Father's favourite vase and without question you took the fall for it. Sometimes you were painfully honest about things you didn't do or had any knowledge about. Do you remember when Lilly did the same for Noah when..." He stopped remembering the main point to that story. It was the time Noah accidentally threw away Luther's final letter to Ally, luckily they managed to salvage it before it was taken away but that was the first time they'd seen Ally cry since that day he'd died. Lilly stepped up and said it was her fault to save Noah.

Ally, "You don't have to pussyfoot around me brother, it's been sixteen years."

Blake, "That doesn't matter, mourning can last a lifetime Ally. I still think about our father a lot, he turned his life around too late, I still have regrets for letting you carry that burden." Ally looked at him pitifully, Blake was too kind-hearted. Sometimes forgetting the pain is what you need for survival at least that's what Ally did. Those few months after Luther died she didn't leave her room, she wouldn't feed or converse with anyone. Almost like a pretty china doll sitting on a shelf collecting dust. Until she chose to fight the pain and focus herself on Lilly.

Ally, "I still remember his hand on my cheek, almost like it's still there sometimes. I wouldn't say I still mourn but I won't forget. Luther gave me an amazing daughter not to mention another chance to live. For that, I'll always keep him right here. No matter what..." She clutched her chest painfully, it was harsh how raw the wound still kept in her soul. The same applied to Luna, that was also a sore missing piece.

Blake, " I'm sure he'd be proud of where you are now sis..." Blake stopped his words abruptly as the car came to a sudden stop. In confusion, he looked at Ally only too see her eyes wide in terror, her rosy lips gasping agape.

Blake, "Ally? What wrong?" It had been so long since he'd seen those sparkling violet eyes filled with so much devastation. Without a word, she threw open the car door and began running through the border trees. Blake also did the same right behind her. Something was bothering her, he had no idea what but it was urgent for her to react this way.

Ally knew the smell of her home, she knew how violent the weather could be, how the wind blew on quiet days. Depending on how it changed could be the difference between life and death. That was what it meant to be caught up in the atmosphere of the territory. But...she heard nothing, not even a single bird chirp. Usually, the scent of life was thick in the air...yet now all she could smell was...

Their feet stopped at the front green before reaching King Pack. Blake covered his mouth in despair and crouched down trying not to vomit. Ally felt the tears trickle down her cheek and bit her trembling lip in rage.

Spelt out in countless rotting bodies was the word 'FREE' crossed out. Their family home which they took turns with upkeep was completely destroyed leaving only their foundation. Blake heard his sister's loud gasp and she sped off to the other side of the house. He found the strength in his legs to avoid the corpses, and in pure bewilderment at what was happening rejoined his sister on the other side of the house. It didn't take him long to realize why his sister knelt with her head on the ground sobbing. Luther's grave...the reason she came back every year was completely defiled with blood and broken. Blake felt his heart fall to pieces.

Blake, "Sis..." he said with a trembling voice. There was no response, her head glued to the bloody ground below. Her whole body shook, the enveloping toxic hurtful rage that crawled from her stomach to her chest, then to her mouth.

Ally, "I'LL KILL THEM! EVERY LAST FCKING ONE OF THEM!"
