Lin Ya took a deep breath to calm her nerves, knocked on the door to notify her presence before walking into her superior's office room. She was normal and smiling on the surface but she was so tense, her heart was literally ready to jump off it's cage any moment.
"Lin Ya. You've really got yourself into something big. Didn't you?" Lin Ya heard her superior's rumbling voice and she hesitantly raised her head to look at the person seated behind the desk. She knew something really bad happened just on seeing the serious look on her superior's face.
"Sorry, Lin Ya. You are fired. There's nothing much I can tell you but this is the order from the higher ups. I guess you should probably know why this happened"
She had been having this strong gut feeling that something worse would happen to her. Likewise, she just lost her job and she knew it was just the beginning.
She bowed to her superior and silently turned around to walk away when she heard "It was nice working with you. You are a hard-working woman"
Lin Ya just gave a nod over her shoulder, with her back still facing the man. She could barely keep herself steady and she didn't have any energy to speak. She silently walked back to her working space.
Looking at her table and the surroundings, she realised that she had worked in that company for as long as she remembered, she was now reluctant to leave that place with all the memories she made there.
However, she had to leave this place and it's all because of her own fault. Her fault of failing to control herself both emotionally and mentally. Her fault of messing up with the wrong guy.
Her impulsive behaviour would have not mattered much if it was someone else but the man she meddled with was the real deal. She simply pissed him off and she's now paying for her actions.
"Okay, Lin Ya. Please don't lose yourself. Atleast for Little Bunny" She muttered to herself, fighting against the tears threatening to fall down.
"Hey, Lin Ya. What happened?"
"Miss Lin. Where are you going?"
"Miss Lin..."
Under the curious looks of her co-workers, Lin Ya packed her stuff and left the place without looking back even when people behind her kept questioning her.
She left the place so quick and she was feeling so empty inside, she didn't know if what she did so far was real or just a dream. She wanted to get back to her home as early as she could. She hailed a taxi and reached her home.
She walked out of the elevator and unlocked her apartment door but before she could enter inside, she felt a presence behind her. She was terrified that once she turn around she would see the man whom she wanted to avoid like plague.
However, she saw none when she turned around and this only made the fear she had all along to intensify. Taking a deep breath, she entered the house.
'Was she hallucinating out of fear?' Lin Ya had no idea.

"Sorry, Miss Li. It's our young master's orders" The housekeeper said firmly, looking at the young lady standing on the other side of the door. She couldn't afford to lose her job disobeying the young master's orders.
Every worker in the villa received strict orders and were told not to let any woman walk inside the house unless it's their young mistress. But this woman somehow found her way from the main gates to the entrance door.
'Shameless woman. How dare she come here after what all she did?' The housekeeper thought as she stared at the young woman with a serious face. She always followed entertainment news and online gossips keenly. How could she not know what this woman did? She simply want to ruin their master's and madam's marriage.
"Don't you know me? Since when was I not allowed to set foot in this place?" Li Xiaoyi yelled glaring at the housekeeper who was preventing her from entering the house.
This was the place in which she thought she would spend the rest of her lifetime with her loved one. But now, she was replaced by someone else and the man she loved became another woman's husband.
Li Xiaoyi guessed Gu Zichen would compromise. She thought he would come back to her but never imagined he would tell the world without hesitation that he was married while making her look like a shameless wench snatching another woman's man.
She thought Gu Zichen was pretending to hate her all this time but he popped the bubble she was living in before she could realize. The clean and pure image she had built through the years was damaged in a blink.
Li Xiaoyi couldn't believe the ugly woman she met before was really Gu Zichen's wife. Gu Zichen spoke of his wife like she's an angel from heaven when she's a little tramp from nowhere. She had come to meet with that woman and know what's so great about her but it seems like she wasn't welcomed.
"Alright. Is she inside?" Li Xiaoyi asked but all she received was a confused look. She sighed and elaborated "Is Gu Zichen's wife here? I want to talk to her"
The maid shook her head muttering a simple no. She then added "She hadn't come home for a long time"
"hadn't come home?! Why?" Li Xiaoyi asked with narrowed eyes. She wondered if Gu Zichen was hiding his wife afraid she might hurt her. She didn't expect him to care about his wife to this level.
"Yes.. With the scandal about the mistress and second young master running around the town, they must have been busy now trying to clean up the issue" The housekeeper sighed and continued "Those reporters are really crazy. Why would she marry the elder son and then play with the second one unless she wants to die..?"
The housekeeper blabbed unknowingly and covered her mouth immediately on realizing her mistake. She couldn't talk like that before outsiders no matter how much she loved to gossip. She should always keep her mouth in control but she lost her control infront of the wrong person.
Hearing so far, something clicked in Li Xiaoyi's mind. The second master the housekeeper mentioned was Gu Zihao.
She then browsed the internet on her mobile to find the pictures from the charity gala and saw the girl next to Gu Zihao. She was the one that was supposed to act in her song's MV. She then recalled the ugly woman she met in Gu Zichen's office. Li Xiaoyi couldn't believe they both were the same person.
She tried hard to keep herself from crumbling down and asked the housekeeper "Are you sure that the woman who made headlines with Gu Zihao is your madam?"
The housekeeper was silent but her expressions clearly betrayed her.
The housekeeper was totally unaware that she already revealed all the details that hit Li Xiaoyi at the right spot and bring trouble to their young mistress in the future.
"How is that possible?!" Li Xiaoyi muttered in shock. She couldn't take the pain anymore and walked away in a daze. On her way, she called her manager.
"Wu Jinyan...I should let you know the biggest mistake you made...How dare you steal my man?" Staring at the details she received to her mobile, Li Xiaoyi mumbled to herself with rage clouding her head. A wicked smile soon spread on her lips.
