Wu Jinyan saw the doctor and nurses walk out of her room and was reminded of her friend, Katie Zhang.
Thinking of Katie, Wu Jinyan remembered the great advice she received from her.
If not for that advice, Wu Jinyan would have never considered marrying a man in the first place.
"Its all your fault, idiot" She screamed letting out all her anger. She was so angered, she looked fuming red, breathing erratically.
"What's wrong? What happened?" Mu Feng who just entered the room was worried, on seeing her red face.
Wu Jinyan raised her eyes and gazed at Mu Feng for a moment before she asked for his mobile. She wanted to call Katie and give her a good hearing. However, she knew if she called and confronted Katie, she had to explain what all hapeened between her and Gu Zichen.
She really wanted to talk about her pain with her friend but she felt it wasn't the right time. She knew Katie would get riled up and might even pick a fight with Gu Zichen.
Thinking of all these, she simply returned the mobile and asked Mu Feng to take her back home.
Mu Feng was bewildered but didn't say anything. He tried to make a call to Gu Zichen informing him about her discharge but with a devil watching his every move, he couldn't even move a finger less make a phone call.
In an hour, Wu Jinyan reached her apartment with Mu Feng tagging behind her.
"Wait, you are living here?" Mu Feng asked in astonishment as he walked around the apartment. It looked too simple and small like a crow's nest...a far cry from the exquisite beach side villa she lived in when she was with him. He thought she would atleast stay in a classy villa or condo instead of a cheap apartment.
Shouldn't she be taking advantage of Gu family's wealth as Gu Zichen's wife? Mu Feng didn't understand why Jinyan was still living humbly when she had Gu Zichen as her support.
"Yeah...I want to maintain a low profile. You know, as a newbie artist, I can't be living in a better place. I don't want to be slandered for owning a luxurious house and be named as a sl*t funded by a wealthy old geezer" Wu Jinyan shrugged.
She knew her identity as an adopted child was already a sufficient black mark to ruin her image. She didn't want to add on another reason for public to defame her. She knew many artists who got caught and stripped open in public for wrecking a happy family by seducing potential rich men.
She decided to walk ahead as an actress, she wanted to start with baby steps like all others instead of using her influence to climb up the ladder.
"Oh...My cousin is wealthy but not that old. He's a perfect man who can charm any woman" Mu Feng smiled slyly. Who would dare to call Gu Zichen as an old man after looking at him? He's a devil who would tie down everyone with his handsome looks and power. With him as her backing, why should she worry about anything? She could simply sit back and watch the show running before her.
Hearing Mu Feng's words, Wu Jinyan lost the last trace of calmness in her. She charged forward and grabbed Mu Feng's head, pulling his hair out.
"Ahhh..." Mu Feng screamed in pain. He just mentioned Gu Zichen's age. He said nothing much to anger her but his words must have somehow sounded wrong in her opinion. Mu Feng tried to free himself from her torture but Wu Jinyan tightened her grip on his hair making his scalp to sting with pain.
"Wu Jinyan, do you know how important my hair is to me?" Mu Feng howled. He's been maintaining his dense hair with utmost difficulty as he was most adored by his fans for his smooth, shiny hair. If he loses a patch of hair because of this woman and become a bald head, how could he face his fans in the future? Moreover, he already made an open announcement stating he would make a comeback with a new song as soon as possible causing an uproar among his fans. If he reappeared with a bald head, it would look like their Prince became bald Prince? How Heartbreaking!!
"Do you know how nasty your mouth is?" Wu Jinyan grasped Mu Feng's hair with all her strength and threw him out of the house and slammed the door.
'Yes, you're right. Gu Zichen's a perfect young man who could make any girl go crazy. I'm just a fool to think he belongs only to me. I'm the heartless woman who walked into his life to destroy the sweet and amiable relationship between him and his girlfriend" Wu Jinyan slid down the door and covered her face with her small hands to hide her tears. She tried hard to forget about the mess she got into, forget the man in whom she put all her trust, but it didn't work.
She didn't know how long she stayed in that position. But she snapped back on hearing the loud ringing sound of the door bell.
'Who could it be?!' She thought and tried to stand up but she fell down as her legs became numb as she strained her muscles too much by squatting for long. With the side wall and the door as her support, she struggled to stand again successfully.
Heaving hard, she composed herself, wiped her face celan and organized her hair before opening the door.
She was yet to open the door completely but she saw enough to identify the people on the other side.
'Shit!!' She slammed the door as her heart dropped to her stomach.
She didn't know why those people came but she knew it wasn't for anything good. She placed her hand on her chest, she could clearly sense her racing heart. She wasn't ready yet to face these people but they were already at her door.
A lot has already happened to her in a short period of time, she had no energy to deal with these people now.
