after losing knotia to lesbianism naeus wondered alone for years hoping against hope that if he cant find someone that doesn't want to eat him(stupid cannibals) that he at least he could find some weed hell it's been so long that at this point hed settle for some "magic"mushrooms so when he finally chopped his way out of that overgrown cornfield and saw row after row of majestic cannabis plants he had tears in his eyes.
over the years he had become weak because of malnutrition he had gone back to the day care center one last time but found a note that said they had to move because of an increase in survivors and a lack of supplies and since then he hadn't seen anyone alive except cannibals.
naeus was so focused happily harvesting one of the plants that he didnt know he was surrounded till it was too late you could tell they were cannibals because they weren't even trying to hide it their clothes were adorned with bones and some of them had missing limbs.
naeus didn't even know they were there all he felt was a dart hit the back of his neck before he woke on a table with a missing arm the stump hurts badly but it looks like they cauterized the wound but strangely hes not chained down he looks around seeing hes in some kinda shed he makes an effort push his legs off the table his body even weaker thanks to blood loss.
he goes to the door which seems to be latched from the outside hes able to open it enough to look through the crack and he sees some munchers lurching about seems they got past the cornfield because of the path I cut through it. so that's why they left me here
as I look back over the ramshackle shed I'm currently experiencing numerous smells none of them good theres some blood stained clothing piled in the back this is good since they took all my gear accept my ratty boxer briefs which have so many holes in them they don't really cover much anymore.
naeus puts on a flannel shirt and some bloody overalls no shoes though looking around he sees the only other thing in the shed is some rusty tools that may or may not been involved in the removal of his arm .
not a single dingy tool proves useful over half of them break while trying to pry the door open

all of the sudden it hits me I cant roll a joint with one arm with this knowledge he collapses against the door thinking its useless but as he hits the door the whole front of the shed just falls over door and all.

looking around he sees munchers everywhere locked in battle with various cannibals
seeing no advantage to sticking around here naeus starts to look for the path he cut through the cornfield.
naeus head was on a swivel ashe had no weapons so he was a little jumpy finally naeus found the path and hurried down it not seeing the muncher crawling along the ground until it bit into the side of his ankle.
due to the missing arm and associated bloodloss it didn't take long for him to turn and wonder into the corn field getting tangled up in the overgrown stalks he kinda just zones out for a couple of days till he hears someone shouting .

naeus pulls free of the corn field and sees the girl running he looks past her and sees the cannibals not wanting to hurt the girl runs right past her his cracked skin oozing yellow and he leaps on the fat cannibal his rotten brain screaming one word

he rips into the pudgy cannibal finishing him off
before leaping on the other one when he tried to run he swings around a bloody smile on his face feeling very pleased with himself for some reason when the girl shoots him in the head.

time sorta sped up as the scroll fades from existence naeus is starting to kinda understand the language at least a few worlds
his mom visits him every day and talks to him unknowingly teaching him the language with every word telling him all sorts of things apparently his father was a powerful sorcerer his mom couldn't conceive so she went to him for help,anyway a size changing spell and a mysterious ritual then poof she preggers she'd never been with a human before because of size discrepancy and in this world they were endangered. so she actually ended up liking your dad and tried to convince him to stay around , but he had responsibilities and the other giants didn't look apon their relationship favorably so he left.
the next few months pass slowly as naeus barely manages to avoid getting drowned by breast milk fortunately giants milk is really sweet unlike human milk ( nutrition is hard to find bmilk is an apocalyptic staple). it was super awkward trying negotiate a price when their squirting it into a bottle right in front of you.

she was the one who shot naeus.

see she was actually looking for him her mom died in childbirth and she was raised by knotia and sharice, but they got separated and she hasn't been able to find them.
she had heard from some survivors about a guy who rescued them from cannibals who said he was looking for weed.
it sounded a lot like what she heard about naeus from her moms she decided to investigate but ended being chased by that fat cannibal and now finding out that the muncher who saved her was naeus himself she finally let herself break down and cry tears streaming down her red cheeks.
the sound draws another muncher it creeps up on her from behind about to bite her when a familiar toy firetruck comes wobbling past drawing the muncher away and dodge looking older with a scar across his cheek pokes his head out from behind some corn stalks motioning parker to follow him while Olivia leads the muncher away.
now that shes not alone parker feels a little more hopeful as she looks back at naeus body silently thanking him for being a hero one last time.

naeus turned over in his sleep curled up in the bedding his mom made it's like he could sense someone was thinking about him he actually finds it annoying how much baby's sleep and was having a dream about all the food tansys butler made (giant food isn't very appealing mostly bones) except suddenly tansy was there feeding him she tried to talk but nothing came out she reached out touching the top of his head and he was shown the image of a large red haired sloth being guarded by various monsters in an dark forest full of dead trees
naeus mom looked down at her sleeping child wishing she could give him a name but giants choose there own names after seven cycles (years) so she just says
my child it is time to rise up gently poking him with her gigantic finger naeus grabs hold of it crushing it in a hug (still asleep) hearing the bone in her finger crack derweenga winces in pain prying her finger lose while stomping her foot on the stone floor cracking it.
