Chapter 13
The moon looked pretty tonight. Adam looked pretty, too. There was no doubt about him being a man of beauty, and he was right; we were all sinners in our own way. Filled with desires and weakness, and for some reason, I, too, was guilty of my own pleasure-seeking. I was no different from him and any other possible human being...and as he held the card out, one hand in his pocket, his eyes inviting. I had to decide...with no possible extension.
I yearned for him in ways I had never before, and my guts hated it—I was making a mistake.
"What if I never end up falling for you?"
"I`d hate myself more for not trying."
I took the card out of his hand and pulled him closer.
"I -"
"Taking the card means yes," he said, opening the car door.
I smiled as he hopped into the driver's seat after ensuring that I had gotten in safely. I've never sat in the front of a car before, especially not one as fancy as this one.
