Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

"Hey girl, you're cool, you're unexplainable..."

A loud blast from the Dream High Academy Hall are heard as the new rookie group Touch5 gve their final line of their song Hey Girl on the New Artists Day Celebration. Loud claps, loud I love You's and loud congratulations from the fans and from rhe studends of the academy made Shanelle grits her teeth in disgust.

Yes, she's there. She's at the debut stage performance of her ex-boyfriend Gabrielle Lee, and that's a million hellish thansk to her best assistant friend Jam who can now crush the gymnassium into pieces with his thunderous yell. Yes, she has a couple of friends, but she's closest to Jam because he's been with her during her school days.

She has a girl bestfriend which is Rizalane Kim, which is her childhood friend also together with Gabrielle. Even before they became couples, they have been good friends since they knew each other for a long time. But the he dumpee her and made her into a laughingstock to everyone.

"Hey, it is almost five damn minutes since those ficklers disappeared from the stage. Can you stop bombing my ears now and let's get out of here?" disgustfully said by Shanelle as she picked her ringing phone. She even felt enraged when Gabrielle's picture popped out of the screen. I haven't changed my caller ID yet. Or better buy a new phone.

Call her a crazy idiot, but after what happened between her and Gab, or can we say, what Gab did to her, she already hated him. She hates him for being cool. She hates him for being handsome. She hates him for having a lot of girls drooling over him. And most of all, she hates him for playing with her feelings.

She still can recall what happened a few months ago. Those memories are still vivid in her mind.

"How about your girlfriend?" she heard the girl asked as she caressed his hair.

"Ah, that nerd? Nah, c'mon, do you think I really loved her?" he chuckled. "She is the daughter of the Chairman of the Board. Of course, I have to flirt with her in order to achieve my dreams."

"She's your childhood sweetheart, right?"

"Yeah, but we are not children anymore. And we changed. I changed. And this is me now."

Shanelle, who is just a few inches away from them, looked at them blankly. Her eyes were now full of tears that she couldn't utter a single word.

Gab turned around and saw her standing a few inches from them. He looked shocked seeing her there.

"Oh, I guess I need to give space for the two of you," the girl stands and looked at her while wearing a smirk, then walks outside the room.

"Look, Shan...I..." he mumbles as he tries to speak calmly towards her.

"What?! You used me? After all those years we've spent with each other?! You just used me and my father's influence?" she pursed her lips and just let the tears burn her cheeks. She doesn't care what she looks like right now. She doesn't even care what kind of words she should uttee and which not to. She's too hurt to even think calmly. She's too hurt to hear his explanations.

"I...I'm sorry Sha---"

"Get out of my life you dumbass," she said and pointed at the necklace and bracelet he's wearing. "Give me those back."

He's like an obedient dog that does everything she says. He removed the necklace and bracelet she gave him on their first anniversary. "I'm sorry again."

She pulled those from his hand. "Your sorry is not enough to heal what I feel right now. You're an idotic monster that doesn't deserve a single love from anybody." She held out a deep breath. Thanks to her mother who taught her to be strong in whatever situation she will be having.

Again, her 7th love was taken and again, she's left with nothing, but those damn necklace and bracelet she's holding.

"Hey," Jam poked her hea no 8 hard to get her back into reality. They're still at the hall but the people are noe slowly leaving the place.

"I don't even know why I came here by the way," she said as she stands and heads towards the door leaving Jam who is busy checking the photos she gets from the performance.

"Why are you always leaving me!" Jam shouts as he runs towards her. "Hey, look at your ex-boyfriend's photos. I got the best shot of him," he added grinning while flipping his phone infront of her.

"First of all, I don't care, secondly, my time is worth a million dollar to be spent looking at a monster," Shanelle jolted as she entered the car.

"Monster who? Gabrielle Lee? Nah, do you remember how you scream like an idiot just to get his atten---ah...there's a mosquito on my face," he slaps his face after Shanelle gave him a tiger look. "But, look, Shan, isn't it necessary for you to look for another one and move on?"

She gave him another tiger look. "Of course. Gabrielle Lee is not the only handsome guy on this planet. Well, if there's none, there are still 8 remaining planets to look for one," she sarcastically remarked.

As she went home, her phone rang. It's her bestfriend Riza.

"Hello?" she answered.

"Shan! How're you?"

"Good. Been better. You? When will you come home?"

"I'll come home maybe two weeks from now. Oh, by the way, I've called you to tell you to audition for the second female role of my new movie. I already recommended you and you just need to enlist in the audition."

"Second female role? Nah, you know I'm not into acting," Shanelle rolls her eyes eventhough Riza can't see her.

"Tsk, and I know also that you have no future in your singing and dancing career. Well, you're good, but considering the rumors about you, I don't think being the daughter of the Board can't help you. C'mon. You want to forget, right? This is your opportunity dear."

Shanelle paused for a moment and thinks about it. Riza has a point. There won't be anything bad in trying, right?

"Hey, still there?" Riza asked from the other line.

"Okay, I'll give it a try," Shanelle managed to say.

"Cool! Goodluck then. See you soon!"

__________

The alarm clock sets at 5:30 stops Shanelle from sleeping peacefully. Well, it's been the first time she really had a peaceful sleep without wetting her pillows with tears.

She got up and opens her lampshade. It's already her routine to wake up early and do her hobby---sketching. Thanks to her talent in art, that her time are not wasted just reminiscing the past.

She grabs her sketchpad from the top of the table and her pencil. She smiled as she flips to the first page. She now completed her own version of a 'perfect guy'. Shiny eyes, kissable lips, a guy who can be prettier than her.

This guys had been in her dreams even before she started sketching him that's where she gets the idea of what he looks like. In his dreams he is a true person. A handsome prince helping her damsel in distress princess.

"Prince Chihoon. That was your name in my dreams. And since you're the prince that made me forget him, I will call you the same. And now I have already completed you. My masterpiece," she kissed the person drawn in her sketchpad. "I wish that you're real. So that I can let everyone know that I am not a loser. That I don't deserved to be played. That Gabrielle Lee is not the only guy on Earth," a tear fell down her sketchpad.

"You know it's hard to lie about your feelings. I always say that it's fine. That I'm fine. He's nothing. And that I don't love him anymore. But that's not it," she said and hugged the sketchpad as she started to reminisce the past again. "You know sometimes I wish to be just like you. Even though they hurt you, crumple you, throw you away, you will not get hurt. You will still smile." She sighed and looked at his face again.

After a few minutes, she puts the sketchpad on the table again. As she stands, she accidentally touched the edge of the knife on top of the table making her blood drips out and falls to her sketchpad. "Ouch," she exclaimed and immediately licks her finger to at least ease the pain.

She looks at her sketchpad and she saw her blood on it. She wanted to clean it, but she realized she was getting late from school so she just hurriedly runs to the bathroom.
