"Okay can you repeat again what is the process of multiplying rational expressions? Who can repeat?" The professor looks around to see who can answer his question.
What the heck? Mutant? My masterpiece slash that monster is a living mutant? And what? Immortal?!
Shanelle is busy thinking hard and her mind wasn't at the lesson being taught at all.
The professor noticed that Shanelle is staring into space and mumbling unheard words so he decided to call her.
"Ms. Park. Can you repeat what I've said earlier?" No reaction. The girl didn't even move as he called her.
So, that means I made a monster?! The heck, what have I done? I really made a monster!
"SHANELLE PARK!"
"Monster!" Shanelle exclaimed loudly as she suddenly stands without realizing what she did.
"W-w-whar?! M-monster?!" The professor slits his eyes and puts his hands on his waist with his face turned red already in anger.
Shanelle blinks many times then slowly looks around. She saw her classmates looking at her, some were laughing silently.
She looks at the angry professor in front who is now ready to attack her. She swallowed hard. "A-ah...th-that's what I mean..."
"GET OUT!!!" Shanelle closed her eyes hard as she heard that shout. She slowly took her bag and bows at her professor then storms outside.
"Phew!" She said as she arrives at the field where soccer players are practicing. She looks around. This is Gab and her's favorite place. She suddenly had an urge to cry again, but she took a deep breath. "Stop it Shan. Wake up. Wake up," she said tapping her cheeks lightly.
She then decided to just go home since that was supposed to be her last class, but she was being thrown out.
As she was driving home, her thoughts we're still on the monster she made and brought to life. Who can even imagine that a mutant ir an immortal mutant is living in this modern era? It's like what the hell, right?
Because of her far-fetched thoughts, she didn't noticed a van running speadily in front of her. It was very late when she realized it. There was a loud blare of horn, a squeal of breaks. She tried to drive to the left side but because of the great effect of acceleration, it was too late to avoid it. The van knocked the side of her car. Her car rolled over and her body was thrown thrown forward, badly injured, barely alive.
__________
A few minutes before Shanelle's car accident...
Chihoon is busy cooking while reading the cookbook he bought. Even if he can't eat solid food, he wanted to cook for the girl who brought him to life.
As he was slicing the meat, his finger was accidentally cut by the knife. He looks at his wound and saw that the wound was healed and closed by itself.
So...my dreams are really true, he thought. Last night he dreamt of a scene and it felt real. It's like it really happened in real life. The reason of his immortality. The incident behind, he dreamt about it. But why can't he remember what happened 100 years ago? The years before that he can now recall but he can't recall those 100 years. The years before his death.
He stopped thinking when he felt his chest hurts very much. His heartbeat also became slow as if blood can't pump into it. He grips his shirt hard. And the only thought he can think at that is that... "Shanelle is in danger."
He grabbed his jacket which he worn at the museum as a dormant corpse for 100 years, then storms outside the house.
With all his might and using his ability to run fast as the wind, he looked for her. He went to her school, but he didn't find him there. He runs fast again to look for her. It was getting dark because it was almost 6 in the evening.
He roams around until he saw two vehicles in the road, one of which is Shanelle's and it was badly broke down. The place where the accident occurs was near the mountain and only few cars are passing through that area.
He ran quickly to where Shanelle's unconscious body was lying down. He grips his shirt again because of the pain he is feeling. He bends down to Shanelle's body and lifted his head. "Sh-shanelle..." He is breathing hard and looks around to see people he can call for help, but no one is there.
He can only think of one possible way to rescue her. His blood. He lifted Shanelle's face up and kissed her. He bit his tongue to let his blood flow directly inside her mouth and lets her swallow it.
After that, he puts down her head slowly. He saw in his peripheral view a man who arrived and getting something from his pocket, maybe a phone. He runs fast to hide at the nearest post. His heartbeat is slowly getting back to normal.
After a while, sirens of ambulance and police mobil were heard. He looked as they carry Shanelle to the ambulance and a man, who he thinks was the driver of the van, whom they carry with his face covered with a white sheet.
__________
Two weeks passed by and Shanelle recovered fastly. No trace of the accident was seen. Her wounds healed completely and no wound stains can be seen in her entire body.
The doctors are wondering about her perfect healing while the driver of the van was dead on the spot. They are in the state if bewilderment and thinking that what happened to hee was not normal.
Because of that, Shanelle thought to pay the doctors and nurses who treated her for them to stay quiet and not to tell people about what happened to her. She is also in shocked to what happened, but she is thankful she really lived.
"Are you sure you're okay? You don't have any body pains?" Jam asked as he sits down the bed where she is sitting down also. She still didn't leave the hospital so that the people will not wonder why she recovered fast.
"I already took care of your papers. You can leave the hospital now," her dad said as he entered the room. She knew he was also wondering, but her, living after that brutal accident, was more important to him.
Shanelle nodded in response. When she arrived home, she looked first for Chihoon but she find him sleeping at her room. Yeah, she still didn't provide him a room to sleep on his own. She took a deep breath. She wanted to ask him what happened, but she thinks that she still is not ready for another head-spinning mystery.
