Chapter 51 - 150G training, because why the fuck not?

"Holy fucking crap, is this what 150G feels!" I said as my vision started to black out, it hasn't even been about 10 seconds.

Well, to be honest, right now, I was having a hard time breathing, also my body was actually using a lot of flow to control the pressure so that I just don't die because of the atmospheric pressure being 150 times higher than normal.

Well, my body was already starting to adapt. Which was a surprising thing, and looking at Osiric's face, he was also surprised - meaning, even he didn't know about it.

"Well, you kids seem surprised! Well, to be fair, this isn't something you normal people know. Though its negligible, your body, starting from your second job, starts to change, more accurately, evolve. The change is soo little, that most people don't even realize it. And people like me are so fucked up in the head they would rather procrastinate than make a book about it." Rind then explained why it was so expensive to buy a book written by a high class being.

Well, he also told that he was fucked up in the mind, which wasn't surprising. About 100% of the people above or in the saint class would be classified as insane - mostly because they are soo far above a normal human brain, that any person back home would just say they were insane.

And that was the case in this world, as well. Since, most of the people were actually only a little stronger than people back home.

"Really? That's pretty surprising." Emma said casually.

"Huh?" I, Osiric, and Rind, together said, "Lass! how the hell are you ok? Even your vanguard," Rind pointed to Osiric, "isn't ok. And you are a healer."

"Huh?" Emma then looked at me and Osiric, "You guys are really having trouble?" she was confused.

We were also surprised, I and Emma had the same level in our resistance skills, and after classing up, we also had the same resistance stat. It was pro... wha- what was I thinking about?

What just happened was that Emma's law just released a massive wave of holy mana that affected everyone in the vicinity, including Rind. The wave was powerful enough that, if you weren't a grand saint classer, you won't be able to notice nor defend against it.

About 11 months were left until I found out about it.

"So, you have to survive for 30 minutes. It's really not that hard, with just sheer willpower you should be able to handle it. You really shouldn't use your flow, its going to be a very counterproductive." Rind said as he vanished from the white world he had created which was way way way heavier than normal.

It was really hard to stay conscious, right now. We were also very tired, after all, this was the 10th one in the entire 50 in the gauntlet - and we were continuously.

And in the last 10, we had used our skills in odd ways and were overusing them. I mean after Rind healed Osiric's arm, on the 3rd one, we had to survive 10 hours underwater.

The challenge was very easy, just the problem was that we couldn't talk to each other - duh, we were separated into different spaces - we also couldn't use our magic to heal our mental fatigue.

And underwater, there was an aura that was getting stronger and stronger, which made it very easy for us to get mentally fatigued. I knew where it would apply.

We would probably fight very long battles, especially in the future. It was said that every otherworlder, in the war against the demon lord, had to fight for about a year straight - without any breaks. That was just how strong the demon lord was.

Well, there was only one exception to that rule. That was the space lord, he was a true lord classer, so by the time the war came, he was already leagues above the demon lord; and we saw the reason why the true lords can't fight against the demon lord - after all, the demon lord was a force of nature.

He had destroyed the entire army in just a single attack, and at that time he was still at 1% of the strength of a true lord.

"So, what do we do?" I asked Osiric, I was starting to get used to this high G force. It was the same with Osiric and Emma.

"I really don't know, how about we talk about the fourth one?" Osiric asked me.

Right now, Osiric was completely fine, there wasn't even a single burn mark in this skin; the reason for that was Rind. He had reversed time, so there wasn't much injury left on Osiric's body.

Well, Rind had said he could've used a saint class potion, but he really didn't want to waste them, it costed 1 platinum per bottle - which wasn't that expensive considering a B-ranker can get 50-100 platinum from a quest.

That also put into perspective just how expensive Osiric's sword was. Even a B-ranker - like only about 0.000001% beings (meaning, monsters, humans, demi-humans etc.) in the world were B-rankers - will have to work for months to be able to pay for the sword - as a single quest typically takes a week.

'Well, I should learn reinforcement magic fast!' if there was a money cheat in this world, then it was reinforcement magic.

A B-rank mage could make 1-10 grand platinum per 100m^3 volume of material, and that would increase, or decrease (but it won't get lower than 1 grand platinum), if the material absorbs magic well or not, which meant a B-rank mage could get paid as much as 15 grand platinum.

The reason that this was still so expensive was because of the the amount of mages. Mages were very rare in this world. Only about 1 in 1000 people had the talent to become a mage, and like only about 0.0000001% beings were B-rank mages.

And considering how much of a bitch people at higher ranks could be, people really had to pay massive sum of money to be able to reinforce their walls by a strong mage, as people like warriors can't use reinforcement magic, as that requires its own skill which is impossible for anyone who isn't a mage to acquire.

"Sure, that one was really fun! Unlike, everything after that." the fourth was very fun, and the everything after that was hell - though, I couldn't complain that much, after all, my skills had leveled up, I also increased my stat a little.

On the 5th we had to balance 10 tons of liquid, which really wanted to leave its container, while we were standing on a "rope", which would have been better classified as a needle thread. And we had to walk on the "rope" for 10 km, it took us 100 hours to do that.

The main reason wasn't speed, it was that we failed like a 100 times. It was very annoying.

Then on the 6th, we had to go through a place which was filled to the brim with ghosts and spatial and temporal distortions - meaning even if I walked straight, I would actually walking on a bent path, and even if we ran like 10km/s we would only cover 1 km in a second.

We didn't know anything about the place, so I had to hear Emma scream like a bitch for hours straight because of the ghosts, and not just that, I and, even, Osiric screamed sometime. The ghosts were just that scary, Emma had fainted about 13-89 times.

We would have been stuck in that place for years if Rind hadn't give us the hint of, "It's all relative.". That sick bastard, how the hell can feel spatial and temporal distortions. Also, I wanted to know the name of the bastard that introduced the theory of relativity in this world.

Then the seventh one, we had be in the center of a star, with all the pressure and heat, and Rind had told us to survive for 10 minutes.

Yeah, like we could survive when like trillions and trillions tons of matter was pressing on top of us, and not just that, it was very hot as well. And in that one, I learned how it felt to be cooked alive, for over a 100 times.

I also felt how it was to be crushed over and over again. Well, I was able to use my flow in that one, but even then, it was very hard. I also couldn't get knocked out because of the pain of my skin and meat burning, and it was very repulsive to hear my meat being cooked.

Then the eighth, Rind had made us run from a crazy lunatic that had murdered, even, Osiric 10 times, considering the amount of times he had killed Osiric, he had killed me 45 times, and Emma, Emma got killed 159 times - mostly because she didn't have any melee skills.

The ninth, Rind was a little light on that one. We just had to find something, and the area was big as a country. So it wasn't that hard, we just quickly went through the entire country-sized area in just some hours and found the thing, 10,000 km in sky.

And right now, it was very easy.

"What do you want to talk about in that one!?" I asked him.

The fourth one was a test about our destructive capabilities, so, it was the easiest one. We only had to use magic. And I really wanted to ask what he wanted to talk about.
