"Lily! Lily," both Milo and Daisy called as their walked into the coffeeshop.
Daisy was about to jump on me for a hug when she noticed the bruises all over my body. They both gasped in shock. I was still stunned about the man's disappearance that I couldn't talk.
"We need to get you to the hospital," Milo said. Daisy had broken into tears as she looked at me pitifully.
I shook my head at him, "No, I don't want to go to the hospital. Take me home." I wasn't going to spend days in that place again. I was tired of going in and out of hospitals.
"But you might have an internal bleeding, Lily," he tried to persuade me.
"Just take me home," I insisted. He nodded and led the way out. Before I stepped out, I said, "He was here."
"Who was here?" Daisy asked.
"He was here," I repeated.
