The door was open, so Ziko needed no permission to enter the living room. A strong stench hit his nose and his stomach churned. What could possibly ooze such smell?
He got closer to where he was hearing the noises coming from. Milo's mom was on the floor rolling and wailing in front of where he assumed was the kitchen. She seemed fine as she got out of the car a while ago, so what happened? Nobody had seemed to notice his presence as he got closer.
Cindy's mom was seated at the doorstep of the kitchen with her head in her hands, probably sobbing quietly. Cindy was on her feet crying and hugging Lily who seemed to be in too much shock to even move. Lily had no tears in her eyes. She seemed to have zoned out completely.
As he got closer to see the cause of the whole situation, no one still paid him any attention. Something was on the floor, flies and whatever insect perches on dead bodies were all over it.
