The way they thought that the parade would somehow bring them joy was silly for Evelina. She was well-aware of how long it would take for a lady to dress for a ball.
Of course, that was not the only reason that she did not come with them. The sun's heat seemed to be in a course of dusting her kind that she would rather stay indoors for now. But why should the vampiress reveal whatever weakened her? They already know enough.
So there she was, warning her that it would take hours to dress in every layer of their gown. Especially since Freeda's aunt happened to save the prettiest one for her niece. The amount of layers that needed to be worn just was truly… overwhelming.
